Karen, you are entering the stadium to do your last lap, and .....

As I understand it, NOW is the time to "reach down deep" and keep putting one foot after the other - until you reach the Finish Line !!! Otherwise that marathon might become a "non-event", despite all the effort you have put in up to now.

And, I'd imagine the crowd might be a bit disappointed, but, more importantly, how would YOU feel????

Quick, grab the remote control, and let's Reverse a bit, and provide a whole different "end of the marathon" for you....

"She's in the shadows of the stadium" - a buzz goes through the crowd - they know she is coming, but they haven't seen her yet..... waiting, waiting, .....

..........

"And here she is" - the crowd erupts, her tired face breaks into a smile, her legs that felt like lead suddenly take on a new life - she knows that there is only TWO laps around this stadium - and then she is DONE !!! Her spirits lift, and she literally prances around that long, last 800m.... The encouragement of the crowd beats against her ears, and she beams inwardly as she realises THIS is the culmination, the goal, the winnings !! Just a few more steps to go - she is SO tired, but, right now, that is not so important....

The goal is ahead - step by step - it's within grasp.... Don't let go, just keep on, almost there (the crowd goes wild) ......

Karen, YOU write the end, darl... How will it end?

Your call (Aww, aren't I awful??)

Koh

There you go xox

Aw thanks Laura - your a champ AND the perfect post for me today

WHOP WHOP - YEE HAR !
CHECK OUT THESE RESULTS ! !

Start date: 04/02/10 8 WEEKS TODAY ! !
Start Weight: 86.7kg
Today's Weight: 74.7kg

Loss to date: 12kg YEP thats right 12kg 12 kg 12kg!

How awesome is that I ask you? I so relate to that marathon that Koh is talking about, normally by now I would have either quit or sabotaged myself. Like in coming into Easter: LTS (lesson to self) it is ONLY 4 days! ! ! Keep the goal ahead and in sight. Stay focused - am I prepared to allow a few slips over this 4 days extend my journey a week or a month or even to become a non-event, despite all the effort I have already put in and accomplished. Oh my gosh that is a scary thought. Step by step, meal by meal - its within my vision. I am almost at the 1/2 way mark. Dont let go , keep on keeping on and BE committed to completion.

Have a great Easter everyone
I am cheering you on your journey
Lets ALL make it to the stadium and finish line!

That's fantastic Narelle - almost to the downhill slide! (Positive thinking is wonderful!) lol
That post about the stadium was fantastic - he's a wise one, that Koh. I'll just imagine myself doing those last couple of laps when I get tempted this weekend.
Thanks for all your support in my diary too.

Aw - thanks to each of you for popping in to say Hi, sure is way cool ..

Hope you all have a wonderful EASTER !

Just have to share:
I have been happy and feeling good in a size 14 and alas I have these gorgeous lined white linen pants I bought in America - they are a 14 worn about once cause couldnt squeeze into them..... Went to put them on this morning and they almost slipped off! Yikes, I will have to wear them night n day for the next week just to have the feeling of how good they make me feel. Couldnt believe it so heading into the 12 department rather quickly I'd say. Amazing. ...

Oh by the way – my Mum (God love her) says to me this morning, as she turns to look to see if I am following and I quote: oh (lol) your getting so little now I couldn’t see you. That was her way of saying – your doing great. Love her to bits! Feeling more and more like this chickadee. HA.

Woo hoo Narelle, look at you go, your loses are brilliant, fantastic for the motivation. Especially at this weekend which appears to be all about bad food. But you are strong, heck your loses are proving that, and temptations are just that, temptations and they will pass and you will feel pride and righteous for your good choices.

Yay for you

Wowweee Narelle, size 14 and staring down the barrel of size 12s! You must be feeling a million bucks....no wonder your mum said that, she must be so proud of how well her daughters are doing for themselves!!

I know my mum, although she'd never say it, has always been a bit embarassed by my weight. Like it was a reflection on her or her failing. It will be so lovely to know she's going to be able to proudly put up some beautiful wedding photos of her NORMAL sized daughter in a few months time!!!

The last 'proper' photos I had were my graduation photos about 4 or 5 years ago and I was so fat and sweaty and gross, it's just shameful

Have a great break over easter and don't think about bunnies....think about size 12 pants hehe

Just reporting in and having a read - had an awful day today Easter Sunday. Firstly: I am dreaming food and deviating, it hasn’t just happened once either. Annoying. Of all things in my dream last night I was pouring out a big bowl of my favourite cereal and was just about to indulge and....... I woke

So today - all I have wanted to do was rebel !!! Eat what I wanted cetra. I am sure part of the problem is the empty nest - None of my kids are around, scattered all over the countryside and then the neighbour had both his daughters here and the young couple next door had a pile of friends over and hubby n I worked on our home ( Oh woe is me, doesn’t that sound pitiful but that’s how I felt) Might I add we are adding an amazing timber deck out the front which will be so fabulous once it is complete.

Then for whatever reason I was totally dissatisfied with the food today. Didn’t hit the spot, I was bored with it and basically wanting to rebel as I said. Anyhows I didn’t - well I did - I ate a cracker a half hour early cause I wanted to sleep the time away and if I didn’t have it then if wouldn’t have worked with the rest of my times. Tomorrow is a new day and I will be fine just needed to download and get this rubbish out of my system.

Thanks Ladies for dropping in and saying hi -
Yes Gug - I know the temptations will pass bring on tomorrow. Forget the eggs they never worry me, but the hot cross buns...... aggggg beastly little calorie counters!
Bronnie - yep the end is starting to come into view. A little way off yet but almost at the half way mark. Looks like we’ll be doing refeed together.
Gremlin – how awesome that you can excitedly look forward to being a beautiful stunning bride. That in itself will make you shine on your special day.
Yikes Jlou, I didn’t post in the 8 week poll. Shall do it in the morning I have my stats in my diary. Keep enjoying the shopping and reporting back to your slimming mates. Gives us all something to dream about when we are getting close to goal.

Thats my download for tonight. I will be back on track totally tomorrow, no whinging or whining just totally on track and shooting for the home run. sorry about the epistle -ha, it got a little outta hand. Nights Narelle

Hey Narelle

Good on you for hanging in there - those are the trying times when we are bored, frustrated etc that previously we would have turned to food so that is a huge thing for you to

a) not do it and
b) recognise what it was you wanted to do and why, not just mindlessly eat.

You survived the day and it is over now and today is a new day - for you, not for me....I need to get to bed LOL

Can't wait for a catch up when I get back!

Hi Narelle

I'm sorry Easter Sunday wasn't great. You're pretty great though. I am so impressed with you hanging tough and not deviating. What a champion you are. I cannot make the same claim.

You are going to be at goal before you know it. It's such fun getting clothes out that were too tight and on they go without a problem. I laughed at the white linen pants story, as I have some (never worn) white linen pants in my stash of 'reward' clothes. Mine are still too tight, but as soon as I can get into them I will post a photo of myself in them, winter in Canberra or not!

Well done Narelle! On we go.

Hey Narelle - I am noticing a number of us have hated the food over Easter and I think it is to do with the alternatives that are in our face everywhere. Well done for not caving (neither did I) but I was grumpy about the food.
Anyway - it is over and now we can just get back to our happy little selves doing our thing.

Ooooo - nice to have visitors, thanks for stopping by and checking on me.... My official posting day is normally tomorrow but just have to share. I returned back to work yesterday - 1st time in 13 weeks and I hadnt started Cohens then, have been off on LSL - moving into new home, travelling, having fun basically. So in I walk - one of the first people I see immediately says - youve been working out. How great you look, dont ya feel great when you work out? I just had to agree - no use busting her story and she is all of 5 ft nothing and weighs less than half of stick insect. Ha ha everytime I was near this person for the whole day it was like a repetitive little parrot " doesnt Narelle look great! and on she would go" It is nice to have some form of acknowledgment I might add.

So then my next major comment later in the day when I ran into someone I hadnt seen that day and she just stood there and says "WOW - wow - you look great! and this also was repeated numerous times"

I did have a few interesting looks like questioning looks?? ?? Mmm - hi, know their is something different just cant put my finger on it. Anyways they will be putting their finger on the pulse by the time I am finished in about another 10 kg time.

As for the post Easter results - ya all just have to wait til tomorrow but they had better be good. Tomorrow is my 9 week report. (fingers crossed!) I have been good..... LOL see you all tomorrow
