Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
So cold this morning - but that’s winter for ya!!! Last day of leave and I’m glad im not at work today I woke up at 5.30am looked outside and went back to bed lol 😍 Haven’t weighed in yet I’m actually going to leave it till next Wednesday that’s my official week 12 - bloods and weigh in eeeek!! The excitement is too much. I don’t want to put pressure on myself by saying ....... By week 12 I want to lose this much ‘enter ridiculous number here’ I’m happy to let it be as it will be. I’ve noticed more people around it’s fantastic!!! But yes this time next week I will have been on cohens for 3mths - and I can still hide it (or people are being polite and not saying anything) lol either way I like it. I think I’ve mentioned before my body shrank FAST between 120-110 and I was unable to hide it anymore so we shall see hoping to be in that range end of july(ish) Enjoy hump day everyone Just |

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hi Just,
Thanks for stopping by my new diary! Congratulations on reaching the 120’s! You’re very much like me with the daily weigh-ins. I’m going to keep doing it until I start to really slow on daily basis then move to weekly. You’re doing great! Keep it up and you’ll be your goal weight by the time you go to your friend’s wedding - absolutely no doubt. There was one comment that stuck with me when I did this program 9 years ago, I think it was the legendary SMS that said it...”nothing tastes as good as thin feels” - it’s so true. Have a great loss day and good luck with your weigh-in and bloods. Marc |

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hi
I’ve seen some really negative comments from a fellow kiwi about the lack of support that she’s getting - it’s distirbing but on the one hand I get it - some people need constant attention and some are happy to be left to their own devices - you may have guessed by now but I’m the latter lol. Weight loss is such a personal thing I prefer it this way. I do, however, think it’s important to keep a record of milestones AND failures, emotions, hard times and plateaus - it’s proved invaluable for me after reading and re-reading my own diary (the original) and also everyone else’s. It’s comforting to know that no ones journey was perfect or obstacle free etc Just

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hi Just
Glad you're into the swing of it now! I do also think a routine is important on the EP, which you're doing. I also find the clothes issue a biggy. I think it's good you've been able to look at your old diaries, it can help. Keep up the great work, you know you can do this, as you have before😊 Take care Jen |

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
I couldn’t agree more, Just, it is a very personal thing. I’m quite an introvert and would never have thought in a million years I’d be comfortable talking about my challenges, emotions and sharing pics of my belly on a forum. But I lost any apprehension very quickly since we’re all in the same boat and nobody ever judges you on here, it’s 100% support, whether you fly through the program or not.

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hi
Saturday but no cohens pizza for me today - boo hoo!!! I didn’t get any mozerella this week and it’s too cold to go outside lol - I guess I can have one later in the week but I’ve got plenty of food to last - cohens food!! This week has been excellent, possibly to do with the fact I had a 2 day working week after a 5day weekend and that’s how life should be - then reality hits when the power bill comes in or the rent etc and back to the grind. Had a good week food wise and go for my blood test halfway through next week. The chlorine in our water is being reduced because tests showed that the amount of chlorine being pumped into our water is equivalentt to a swimming pool so far too much and it’s showing on my skin. It’s so dry and itchy, I am a lifetime sufferer of eczema so the smallest change affects my skin - my clothes smell like chlorine and even the dogs smell like chlorine lol - after years of abuse and not maintaining our well heads this is what it’s resorted too. Have a good weekend everyone it goes very fast Just |

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hey Just,
Sorry to hear about the water situation, that's really bad. I'm also an eczema sufferer so I can only imagine how that affects your skin, the water is a big factor. I've had a skin condition for years, it started when I moved to Istanbul but cleared up when I moved to Singapore, returned again when I lived in US and China but now seems to be better in Switzerland, phew! Luckily, the water is good here, I joke about Evian flowing from our taps here Could you share your Pizza recipe with me? I'd love to make a Cohens pizza and I've looked at several recipes using a cauliflower base, but can't find one that doesn't use egg - which is no good if I want a cheese topping. It's not pizza without a cheese topping! Bon weekend! Marc |

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hi
I just realised that I have so many bottles of water all over the place no wonder I have to go loo so often lol. I know I easily drink 3L a day and I get a bit nervous about going out now cause as soon as. I start walking I feel like I need to go toilet ahahaha. This is a good thing though - all those ugly toxins leaving my body - I read somewhere that if u drink super cold water your body uses more energy to heat it up??? Not sure how true that is, I can’t drink super cold water and much prefer room temperature. I found that when I was in London the beer was warmer then I’m use too and I drank more - that’s my excuse anyways. Stilll planning my trip and Spain seems like a goer. I love everything about Spain, the food, the culture, the language and the people - was the best part of my OE - many years ago Hope everyone is having a great weekend Just |

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hey
Worst start to a working week I slept in - so I managed to weigh out my yoghurt, grab my fruit and crackers and a tin of tuna - no veges!!!!! I dont work close to any supermarket so I can’t just go for a drive and get some so annoyed. I’m hoping this doesn’t make me hungry later in the day but we shall see. I usually wake up at 5.30am and have heaps of time to cook my lunch etc but not today - today I woke up at 7, and I start at 7.30 ugh. Another tough lesson learnt Just

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hi
Well today is a great day - for no particular reason except tomorrow marks 3mths of being on the cohens programme yay!!! Well back on. I can’t say I’ve noticed the time go by that quickly. I do know for a fact that I would of put on more weight if I hadn’t of taken the jump and done this!!! That’s a certainty so instead of wasting the last 3mths of my life I have been committing myself to a better lifestyle and have actually stuck with it. The results are there, both physically and mentally because I sleep better my head is clearer. And it’s not hard once you get over the lack of volume of food and realise the difference between satisfied, full and bloated - it’s easy!! A moment of clarity - when I’m spose to be working Just

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hi
Week 12 weigh in done!! 127kgs which means another 200gms and I get to add another charm yippee and that I’ve lost almost 25kgs which is fantastic. Reflecting on the last 3mths it’s been quick but so worth it - nudging ever closer to the 119 mark which is my overall goal I really want to smash 120 - my whole life 120 has been the sticking point. I mean it takes 2-3wks to get past it for some unknown reason but that’s a few weeks off yet and I’m looking forward to the challenge Hope everyone has a brillliant week ahead Just |

Awesome work, Just !! Keep on striding out and that 120Kg sticking point will become a bad memory as you claim victory over it.
Smiling for you as I type this, Koh

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hi
Thanks Koh - I was so close to 25kgs I weighed myself this morning cause I desperately wanted to put another charm on the bracelet and it’s now 25.2kgs loss so I put one on eeeeeek - that’s 5 now and another 12 to earn. I had my bloods done yesterday and the vein that the phlebotomist chose ran out of blood lol so it must of been a small one cause it just stopped ahahaha or it slipped away so that was freaky. Updated my consultant with an email (of which she won’t reply cause she never does lol). I’m hoping she’s recording these weights and doesn’t just jump me for more money when I have to extend - I’m fully aware that I’ll have to add time onto this one cause it would be a miracle if I lost 87kgs in 6mths lol Roll on the weekend Just |

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hey
I got my blood test back and one of the levels that’s monitored has sky rocketed back to normally - the eGFR went from the. 30s to 108? I don’t even know what that means but it’s well into the normal range for my age so that’s great. Can’t wait for the weekend I’m going for a hill walk with my child and then lunch with a friend - then movies to see oceans 8. All sorts of food challenges there lol - it’s not a challenge to walk away from that food as im use to it now. And a long black is on the allowed list so there’s my coffee sorted yus Have a great weekend Just

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hey
Well that’s interesting Koh - I tried to google it and ended up confusing myself lol - weekend walk done sore glutes lol weekend market done, food smelled delish but I’m happy with a smell ahahaha and even ventured into town. Chc cbd is looking pretty good, took ages to resemble any kind of city but it’s looking very new and the smell of new buildings is amazing - parts are even reopened that I didn’t even know about. I don’t go to the city much I live in ‘the burbs’ and prefer staying out that way, the fear of not being able to get out of the city should something happen remains. Even when the big one hit I remember people abandoning their cars and running or walking - those cars stayed in the middle of the roadways (parked in the middle on an island) for weeks - all petrol was for the emergency vehicles and army, no power, no water - nothing was open so no access to food - horrible truly horrible. Even now when a train shunts on the railway line next to where I work most of the floor grabs hold of their desks. Great to see a new city rising up - all the landmarks that use to mark specific streets are gone so it’s a minefield to navigate, streets are gone or diverted the ugly road cones are a staple and the streets are thinner?? 30km/h speed limit is insane lol - I was driving about 40 and a cop car psssed me so enforcing that road rule clearly isn’t a priority Hope everyone’s weekend is going well Just

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hey
I almost feel like I jumped out of bed this morning punching the air - cause today I get to have my pizza 😂 - it’s the small things in life that get ya through lol. I even had an omeltte this morning wow!! I purposely do this to myself leave all the good foods lol till the weekend - like a treat. It’s just the way I work, another small reward for myself for a week of no deviations and 100% on plan. Even though the weekend food is still all on plan if I had it more regularly it wouldn’t have the same reward effect that it does now. I limit the amount of cheese I have on purpose. It doesn’t seem to slow down my weight loss but right now I’m so determined to get out of the 120s I’m not taking any chances. I’m sticking to what I know will work - maybe later on I’ll mix it up again but for now I’m good to just let it be. I fully expect myself to be out of the 120s before the end of July - but time frames add pressure, so whilst it’s a goal it’s not forefront of my mind - for now lol. Hope everyone’s weeekend has been brilliant Just |

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Hi Just,
How's it going at work? Are there some who seem to have question marks above their heads when they meet up with you? I know you are endeavouring to remain "incognito" re your weight loss - but there is only so much you can hide really. Are you having to slip into smaller clothing yet? Being Winter, you might pull off that one for a bit longer (by keeping lots of clothing on) - but how's your face? Losing fat from there is harder to conceal, eh? And it is likely you already look quite different to the person you were three months back.... Anyway, good on you - whether it is keeping treats for the weekend, or jumping the scales to allow another charm, WHATEVER works for you is worthwhile !! Go you good thing (as we say in Aussie). Koh

Re: Round 2 - and here we go again
Lol - I can still hide it and it’s working well - and you know us kiwis Koh we are all so polite and cautiously approach anything to do with weight loss from afar lol.
No one has said anything to me yet - but that’s what happened last time it wasn’t until I was well into a 30-40kg loss that someone broke and asked me how much weight I had lost. My face is round anyways but my chins have now gone and I only have the one ahahaha - the jacket I wear covers everything fully so it’s not obvious. I have gone down 2 dress sizes comfortably - possibly 3 but like I said I’m a master at hiding the obvious. I have pinned my pants and my top together which is only a problem when I go loo - otherwise it’s likr wearing a onesie because my pants threaten to fall down every step I take I’ll definately let you know when someone ‘grows a pair’ And asks lol Just |
