Ok
Start maintenance 64.3
Personal alert weight 67
Today's weight 66.5kg - loss of 1.3kg since last week

I have decided to no longer post my cohens range as it is my maintenance start weight that is relevant to me.

TOM is wreaking havoc but I weighed in today anyway and am glad I did.

I have been eating CMF friendly since Monday excepting wine in the evenings and some cheesecake I attempted to bake on the weekend (it turned out more continental but same ingredients so maintenance approved dessert) as there were leftovers. Have told bunny when I make it again he is to take the leftovers to work - and I will donate some to my work too as I did with the leftover meringues from the weekend. that is the key for me I think - have the dinner and treats for dessert then get rid of any leftovers so there is no temptation to pick at them on monday night, Tuesday night....

Well done Jlou that is a great loss, you seem to have things well in hand there. Looks like I just have to take a teaspoon of cement and harden the F up.

Cohens Goal Range: 59 - 62 kg

30.09.10 - 65.7kg OVER!
07.10.10 - 65kg
Weight today: 63.2 kg

Wow - what I am discovering is we are all in the same boat fighting the same demons so to speak. This week for me has been almost pure cohens. I feel a bit like Gug in that if I venture away from program foods my body takes a hike upwards.

Like FYM I intend posting weekly at least until I can be trusted not to be gaining, I suspect that will take a while, in the meantime I am trying to establish what may be my triggers for gaining. Bread, sadly is factoring strongly in that department.

So for this week I am happy with the result but frustrated that I have to be so blinkin good to achieve it. Narelle

Maybe we need to rename this thread (again) to "Folks who only have to look at a slice of bread to gain a kg"??

There is definitely a common theme here around the carbs...

GUG, you may need to pass around that teaspoon!

I think we probably all have days (I know I have) where we think "what harm can one sandwich do?" (I fall into this trap if I am sick or too damn busy to search for a CMF salad) but we all really know that it is poison for us.

Sad but true....

I am going to dig out my maintenance guidelines over the weekend and have a re-read - will be my 3 monthiversary tomorrow so time to review and take stock I think.... if I have any blinding flashes of enlightenment, I will share, otherwise, I am going to buy enough bags of cement to keep us all going

Weight - 69.8kg
Alert weight 68.6kg

Have gained a bit - not overly worried as with Cohen's range (67-70) - am still figuring out how the gym affects my eating. Found mini-baked cheesecake in the freezer at Coles. Very nice and separately packaged so can have one and leave the other for hubby!

Maybe I can hide under my desk with my teaspoon of cement during the obligatory birthday morning tea. I am sure if I look hard enough I can find a site to visit this morning that desperately needs my attention

So true Jlou. The one sandwich then leads to, for example, one scone, which leads to ...etc

FOR ME - No sandwich leads to CMF choices continuing and a happier me

What's "funny" is that before I started maintenance I thought I'd be able to have desserts/ice-cream once or twice a week. In reality I've had two desserts in 2 months, barely eaten bread (maybe 3 times), carbs only at weekends (2/3 portions per week), barely touched alcohol, and it's STILL been a struggle.

Oh well......

Birthday morning tea successfully negotiated, I sat in my car and ate my apple. Got some odd looks from the smokers so picked up my phone and pretended I was talking on it.

Maybe rather than being defensive we shoould start being aggressive e.g. "Why are you eating that cake? It'll kill you. You should eat an apple like me.""

We won't be invited to anything any more, but it'll solve the problem!

Sounds like a great idea FYM, unfortunately I am not a very aggressive person in my personal life, work related I can tear people apart though and not bat an eyelid. The morning tea organiser asked did I have some of my birthday cake, I lied and said yes it was lovely so I wouldn't hurt her feelings.

Hi gug, lol at you sitting in the car pretending to talk on the phone! great idea by the way...I'm with FYM - put the guilts back on them - it's dead food they're eating - you're doing yourself a favor eating your apple. sometimes I think we make them feel bad when we eat healthy - reminds them of what they should be doing....
stick with it, you're more than worth it! have a great week, Lesley

Will be flying through here in the morning for a brief accountablility and then off to the airport. Going to hang out with my girls for 2 days in Sydney town, then the boys come through on Sat for the night and back to Brissy Sunday. Shall be a great family weekend so have been good this week, well..... - since Friday's upset. So I should be able to afford a few treats together with the family.

Hope the scales are nice to me in the morning. Cheers Narelle

What a blessing to have a "personal alert" in place. At least you know what your next step is.

Hi wee Mum Chum !! The personal alert was a brilliant idea of someones on here, can't remember if it was Narelles or Ladybirds but it is a very effective tool. Yes I know what to do but wish I didn't have to But on the other hand what a blessing to have a solution Have a wonderful day slender friend and very soon you will be here!

Cohen Goal - 68 to 71
Personal Alert - 71
Last weeks weight - 70.3
Current weight - 70.3

All looking good in FF's world! Although I did enjoy being under 70 kg's, albeit briefly, earlier this week!!

Hope everyone else is having a good maintenance week. Am finding that I really can't let myself have 'just one' of something because it all adds up so quickly. So life is still mainly yoghurt black coffee fruit and crackers and experimenting a bit with lunch and dinner.

Have lost track a bit of the 'spiritual' side of things of late. Going to invest some time and energy into that and will let you know if I come across the magic secret (hahahaha)
