My rational head tells me that we should look forward not back and embrace the courage and the discipline to rid the weight. It is not little feat - it is a truly amazing what you ahve and are achieveing. Also congratulations for being ask to be the spoesperson for the local Biggest Loser challenge at your Church. Re: Faithy's Diary
Hi Faithy - and how UTTERLY TREMENDOUS! 70kg gone - HOW LEGENDARY!
And you truly are an inspiration in your world and could lead a Biggest Loser challenge at church. Only thing is, how can you explain how you did it without them all having to go off and paying the bucks to Dr Cohen! Believe it or not, i had a similar approach from my church, could i lead a weight loss group for the women? I cant see how i could change theire mindsets from Weightwatchers mode , or get a quick shake from the chemist mode , into the amazing science of Dr Cohen WITHOUT the program! Any ideas anyone? Re: Faithy's Diary
Hey faithy
That is great - don't you love those round numbers. Only 20 to go. Pandora is right - you are influencing so many and I say give them the website, offer to get your consultant to make a group booking (they may even look at a discount if there are enough) - but they need their own program and probably also the act of paying out money to make you committed to the plan. I can remember thinking I better give this my best shot otherwise I've wasted a lot of money. Spurs you on a little at the start and then the results are enough motivation to keep going. You are enough evidence to see the benefits but as the old saying goes - you can lead a horse to water......... If others truly want to share the same success they need in some way to seek it for themselves, even if all that is, is asking how it was done. I see many large people in my day at work and a lot of them regular clients who are aware of how much I have lost, but IF they ask me how they could do it, a lot say that it is not for them - before even getting the info. FRUSTRATING hey.....but not up to me to put them on the path to good health, no matter how much I know they could benefit. I hope that doesn't sound mean........ IMHO the only person I can devote the energy required to stay on the program is ME. There have been one or two people who have joined as a result of talking with me, and they have done well. I do feel a "pressure" now that I have lost the weight. I sometimes feel that people from school and work are watching to see if I am going to put weight back on.........maybe that is me being insecure, but I think public weightloss can put that thought in your mind. Goodness what a rant.. Have a great day - faithy you and Pandora are the sweetest people - I have read lots of your posts and you are very positive and motivating - so go for it if you want to lead a group - I just wanted to let you know about those feelings of pressure that I sometimes get. Cheers Losing

Re: Faithy's Diary
Thanks guys hey .. It's so awesome to be such a good influence on people & I just love helping people too.. I hope I continue to feel that way as time goes on..
My consultant told me today that someone joined up because of me just recently.. I got so excited, I have no idea who it is, but that just rocks. You guys are so right, I wish this church thing was Cohen's, cause I know everyone would do so well on it.. They've all seen what I eat & they can see the results I'm getting.. but they just dont get it.. it's like everyone walks around with blinders on.. I even find I tell the same people over & over again (if they ask that is) that no I dont exercise & it wont benefit me weightloss wise.. I even tried it.. I exercised every day for over a week, I found myself with less energy at the end of the day & at the end of the month I had actually lost less than normal.. also, by the end of it I started feeling quite unwell & then wound up in bed for a week with the flu.. I'm guessing I just burned all my food up & there was nothing left.. dunno.. Anyway, I've had a fairly consistent loss each month, so it's good to see I'm consistent :P.. I'm pretty interested to see how it goes towards the end, whether it slows down or not.. so far it hasn't.. Thanks to those that always comment & support me, you guys all seriously rock!!! Wishing you all the best success with your loses |

Re: Faithy's Diary
Thanks Cait.. it does feel a bit like that.. slow & steady.. I will admit I do get frustrated, but I'm still losing about 1.5 kilos a week or so.. it's still faster than any other diet I've done.. I had thought after my first month that I'd continue to lose it as fast (14 & a half or something like that the first month).. but my body seems to be happy just doing what it's been doing, every month, month after month. I just hope it keeps it up & doesn't slow down too much towards the end.
Hey Irene :P Thanks for that dance.. looking good lil lady I might add :P Hubby always spoils me.. I'm so lucky.. he'd buy me anything & everything if I wanted it.. I just have to be strong & look at the bank balance & say no, not this time.. what's with that??? Loves back at ya |

Re: Faithy's Diary
Hey Faithy
Now having a look again at your ticker - you said that you are not 70 kilos ok got that part but just wondering if your goal is 90 kilos? Is that your Cohen's goal or one that you are aiming for? In reality where are you hoping to finish your journey?

Re: Faithy's Diary
Hi Hexi, That "other kind" of ticker has caught me occasionally. Most people (as you do) use the "starting weight" to "finishing weight" ticker. Faithy (and some others) use a "how much have I lost" ticker - starts at 0, and finishes with the amount they want to lose. So Faithy will have lost 90Kgs when she finishes. What weight is that? Hmmm - dunno - but I'll bet it is gunna make our lady a VERY happy person, Koh

Re: Faithy's Diary
LOL ahhh yes I have a very funny ticker.. perhaps I should look at changing that.. never gave it any thought really untill now..
OK *deep breath*.. Start weight was 158 kilos Goal weight is 68 kilos Current weight is 88 kilos Hope that helps clear things up :P.. Well this VERY happy lady went in to the shops today to just suss things out.. Now we all know that my top half is approx a 12 which is awesome.. my bottom half is/was a size 16 in the large ladies section.. but for ages & ages it seems that I just couldn't fit into a 'normal' size 16 on the bottom half.. well today after much nagging from a friend & hubby I decided to try a pair of 'normal' 16 jeans on.. well dayum they fitted me.. I had to try really hard not to cry.. when I weighed 88 last time (geez like 20 years ago) there was NO WAY a 16 on the bottom would fit.. rather bizarre, but I'm not complaining. |

Re: Faithy's Diary
Wow Faithy, you are amazing and your faith in yourself, this program and the big fella upstairs is really paying dividends.
You are awesome Hey, it's better to cry than to go the (very young shop assistant - what do they do wipe their nappies and plop 'em in shops these days!!) and go like a mad woman, 'look, look size 14 and they fit - check out my ****'. I think she was going to call security. Needless to say, haven't gone in there again. (And no, I didn't buy the pants.) I think Cohen's really strips away the fat, so your body shape gets better and better.
