Default Re: BUY NEW CLOTHES NOW !

Yeah, well ....

I finally wore my new Millers Comfort Pants, Size 12 (elastic waist) to work this week

Up until now I have been wearing the Size 16 well, they weren't falling down (all that much) and I figured it didn't really matter so why not?

But now that I am wearing the Size 12 I realise it does matter. For starters, I feel a lot slimmer in Size 12 than I do in baggy Size 16

However, my tops are also Size 16 and I am not, so these are hanging off and looking, simply, frightful.

I never was one for op-shops or wearing second hand clothes. It is End of Season so I should be able to get a half dozen, new, Size 10-12 tops for work (and for play) from Millers / Rivers for $10 or $15 each.

The fear of putting the weight back on will be at the back of my mind for some time, maybe even for years

But in the meantime I cannot walk around like Little Orphan Annie wearing my own hand-me-down clothes, worn by a previous version of myself.

That is really, just too sad.

It will soon be time for short sleeves and brighter colours but in the meantime I feel a strong urge to wear winter and spring clothes that actually fit me.

Lotsa love
Kristine

I have cleaned out my wardrobe twice now with a major cull.
I made the decision along the way to not wear anything that doesn't fit, it helps motivate me to keep going and I feel so much better so why shouldn't I look better. Yes its expensive replacing your clothes every few weeks but worse problems have happened at sea And I also think this will help me keep the weight off in the long run because I will have nothing to wear and I think I will be sad to have to buy larger sized clothes.
I started this journey 12 weeks ago in a size 18-20 and I am now comfortable in a 14 but can fit 12's if I breathe in, no idea what size I will be at goal weight, I still have just over 16 kgs to go but I am just going to keep on buying clothes as I work my way through the sizes, its my gift to me and my bod.
