I'm drawing a long bow here perhaps, but with you at 73Kg right now, I'd think a Size 12 would be about right NOW !! And, at the end, well a leather jacket can look pretty good even when a little bigger than needed (with you around Size 8, that jacket will have plenty of room methinks....) I probably shouldn't have posted that, as I'm only guessing - and "looking good" as you go along is bound to help you - so you just ENJOY that leather jacket for as long as you can. (Hope it fits from the day you get it !!!) Flaunt it, girl.... Hugs, Koh

Thank you for your lovely support!!
Hi Katie, I have been looking for your diary for a while now but could not find it. I wanted to say thanks for all of your lovely supportive comments you have entered into my diary. Keep your chin up and don't be so hard on yourself with your weight loss, you have sone so well so far, and maybe your weight is just on standby catching up for a little while. Don't loose hope now- you are doing sooooo well and your support on this forum is just beautiful!!
Good luck Katie, Merryn (HBS) |

Katie, you've been under some stress recently. Stress releases fat conserving hormones. De stress and the weight will fall away steadily again (I know, may be easier said than done).
Yes, I've posted the photos, as you've seen. I almost wish I could bring myself to post the before photos in bra and pants, plus rolls of fat. You'll be wearing a bikini soon. AJ

Hi Katie!
Even with your ups and downs, and stresses, you are still doing really well, as you are getting through them all and still losing! Well done for hanging in there and keeping on! That is the toughie! I like the sound of this OOPSIE as Koh puts it. I think that coins the phrase nicely when you have deviated unintentionally! The leather jacket sounds like a lovely reward, and I fear it may be too big for you at the end of your journey, but jackets are ok, even if they are a bit too big! Can't wait to see a pic of you wearing it! Keep going so well and fingers crossed the medical issues can be sorted! Vee |

Koh is right. Well, he usually is, but I thought I'd state the obvious You haven't deviated in my book. The deviation could be anything! I mean, if a brand of mouthwash can bugger it up, it can be a bit difficult to navigate the Cohens waters.
I'm glad the scales have started moving for you! Plateau Island is not a fun place to be. Stay strong and keep smiling pretty lady! We will get there, one step at a time!

Hi Katie
Hurrah to the losses! And to you for being so strong and resolute throughout! Those blood tests are odd thingamaligs, aren't they? I think you should put it to one side and not worry about the recent result. The most important thing is that you've checked your programme and are sure that you're not deviating. The rest is just lab work. You're a champ, gal! 100% DF in my books for sure! |

Hi KF,
I agree with Koh - I bet that jacket will fit you in no time. And, just one other thought - WHY NOT aim to wear that bikini ?! You just might surprise yourself and get there - and bugger everyone else's raised eyebrows when you verbally express your goals. Anyway, they're your goals to own, & no one else's opinion really matters. just my thoughts! cheers, Ruby GO BIKINI CLAD KF !!

Hi Katie, Glad to see that the scales have started heading downwards again. There is nothing worse than getting on them and they are the same or higher.
I know what you mean with your health. I have a trigeminal neuralgia (its like the dentist touching the nerve on your tooth, except it jolts through the side of your face). One side of my face is numb all of the time because of the treatment that I have had for it. My face hasn't dropped or anything like that, so its not too bad to put up with. Better than the alternative. Mine has given me a bit of a scare a couple of times since being on Cohens, but not too much. I will keep a close eye on it though. Enough about me. Happy losing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hi all
Thank you for dropping by. It is such wonderful support here, and you are all such wonderful ppl Koh, maybe yr right as mette says but I agree, even if it is a little big by the end, I will be able to wear jumpers under it to keep warm in winter. I seem to have developed a passion for fashion (very scarey) because I don't have cheap tastes. HBS, your quite welcome. This forum inspires to give what ya receive. It's amazing. TY for your support also. And I agree, no use kicking myself over something that could have some simple explanation. If the cohen ladies arent concerned, then I'm not. The weight will shift again. BTW your weight loss is fantastic. I'm envious AJ, you are right. My old way to destress was have a few beers. Since I don't have that option any more, I'm finding this forum is my destresser. You look fantastic in your body suit. I just showed my hubby your pics and he was totally blown away. Vee, it has been a bit tough, but I fought through it. Thanks for your wonderful support, very much appreciated. I liked Koh's oopsie too, I think that should be added to the cohen's dictionary too. I will post a pic of my new jacket when it fits. It has 2fold meaning, 1stly I have always wanted one, and it will keep me on track (in case things gets worse) and 2ndly I will want to keep wearing it so it will make me maintain my weight long after I have finished. Mette, yep Koh is always right. (He's a godsend isn't he) but then so are you, pretty lady. To be so supportive with your problems is amazing. You are my inspiration. I agree PI is no holiday place to be. Francesca, you are the champ. Ty for your support. I agree, it seems like it's not hard to dev on this diet. So I'm doing the best I can. I know you aren't far from Refeed and will be reading your diary avidly. New Ruby, thanks for dropping by. I agree, they are my dreams and only I can live them. I have never ever worn a bikini, and I can see that this diet will get me damn close to that. So why the hell not, I don't want to swim in it, but I want to do it sometime before I die lol Lou, sorry to hear about your chronic neuralgia. Sometimes the treatment is worse than the disease, but if you have it under control, that's pretty good. I hope it doesn't flare up worse during cohen's but the healthy diet and promises is too good to give up (amazing what we will go through to achieve what we desire most) Well I was coming in for a quick log but after all that wonderful support, I just had to answer. Today was an amazing day. I'm still on 73.9kg. But yesty had a quick check on my weight with a gf's scales that confirmed my scales are playing up. I weighed myself and raced around to her house, only to find I was 600gm lighter. So now I'm sure mine are playing up and retaining the old weight. So since I can have different profiles on mine I have set up another 2 so called weighers and will do the switcheroo. Haha so much for giving up daily weighing. It's just too addictive. Then today, after not seeing a lot of class mates for 2 weeks, I had an amazing response from them all. All the usual "wow, you're fading away", to "don't lose anymore, you look great" and then had the "how much further do u have to go" and the "don't go to goal weight you will look anorexic". So thank god for this site, I had to explain if I stop now, then all my weight will come back plus extra. I want the rules!!! simple. It's clear to me, why not them. Well that's it for me now. Hubby has come back after being away working for nearly 2 weeks. So I will catch up diaries tomorrow. Take care all Happy losing Katie |

Cheap tastes are overrated. You should have taste that compliments who you are: a fantabulous, gorgeous woman! And that requires fantabulous, gorgeous, high quality clothes! You deserve the best!
Speaking of Koh always being right... He has a post on the discussion forum called 'an outsider's thoughts on 'you've lost enough!!!'' and it actually has a lot of great points about the way others see us and why they might think we've lost enough. I think you should get new scales, too. Yours are playing up and being mean! I got new scales, and I'm quite happy with them! Stay fantabulous, pretty lady!

Hi all
Thanks for dropping by Mette. Haha you are a lady after my own heart. that's exactly what I think, buy cheap get cheap. My lovely jacket arrived today and wooohooo it fits. It is absolutely gorgeous and soooo soft. Definitely something I will wear for a long long time (gives me a lot of incentive to keep this weight off) Been having a few good days yaaaaayy. The scales are finally mobile and have now cracked the 72's. 72.9 to be exact. I had a 900gm drop on tuesday nite, but today I had a further 100gm so that 900gm is definitely gone gone goooooooooooonnnee!!! I have caught up with a few diaries, most of whom I read regularly. I haven't posted this in any of them, but it seems that quite a few of the mid 70's are visiting PI. Since I have just been and vacated that very same holiday spot (not as good as it sounds, even with cabana boys) I'm wondering if there is a common weight spot that plateauing hits (such as our 70's) or is it after so many weeks, or after so much weight loss. Would be interesting to compare somewhere, with those currently experiencing the problem, and those that have been there done that. I wonder if someone could make a poll on it. Would help newbies and also those heading into the same area. Another strange day today, had to have my jewellery shrunk that isn't anything I gave much thought to, realizing I would have to replace my clothes, at least jewellery is easier and cheaper. Went down 2 sizes on my ring, and 2 links in my watch. Amazing where ya shrink lol. Sad day, hubby is gone again. He's away for another 8day, and 6 hours at time of typing. It's hard with him going away so far, at least the station was only 1hr 20min away, now it's over 4 hours and visiting isn't an option. He has been so good for my weight loss. Well I have been 100% DF. Still haven't worked out what my oopsies were/are. Re-read the bible and nothing showed. Maybe it was just all the stress of late. Well happy losing all Katie |

But hey, you sound so happy with it - and well you should - it sounds awesome !! Speaking of awesome, did you know you are LESS than 3Kgs away from being in the "Normal BMI range" - not sure if it's one of your goals, but hey, it sounds pretty damn good to me Two weeks - tops !! - and you should be there (barring PI visits ) Ooh - and I loved this from Mette:- Quote:
Hugs, Koh

Hi again
I just had to reply to you Koh OMG LESS than 3kg away from NORMAL That just blew me away. That's 2 good weeks of losing weight (barring PI of course ) Don't ever want to visit that place again. I have another milestone to reach my 60's then single digits, but didn't think of normal BMI. I'm quite comforable in a 14 nowdays. I have yet to try on a 12. Won't be long because the 14s are getting a bit baggy, but still vy wearable. OH I felt so bad, yes that quote from Mette is just beautiful. I'm really sorry, I forgot to say thank you to the gorgeous girl. was all caught up in being excited. A big Thanks Mette, it really gave me a wonderful fuzzy feeling. But here's another funny little quote "It take's one to know one!!" Mette, you are yourself "a fantabulous, gorgeous woman! And Shell, yes that is what he said. Something for him to look forward to. Hoping he hurries back fast. |

You're too kind to me, Katie
The oopsies might very well have been stress. I've had the same thoughts, my tests were borderline ok last time, and I read and re-read my guidelines and deviation checklist and there was nothing that I could find. It's gotta be hard to have your hubby go away like that. I'm still dreading having to go home and leave Keith here until I can come back. Thank god it's only a week for you! Keep up the great work, beautiful lady, you're going great guns!

Hi all
Thanks for dropping by Louise, STB, & Mette. Hope all is going well in your journey. Louise ok I meant up till now . Yes it is great to fit into the mythical size 12 (or at least some). That is THE slim size. Well done fitting into the dress. I bet you did a parade for the hubby STB thx for the well wishes. Same back. Really hope all is settling down for you into some sort of organized kaos. Mette, well what can I say. I promised myself to be truthful in my diary and so far I am. You are 100% wonderfully fantabulous through and through. Ok all is well this side of black stump. I have finally vacated PI and back to the business of losing. YAY. The past few days have been absolutely fantastic. I know the week and bit seemed like forever but really that's nothing. Just to let ya girls know who are visiting PI, hold on it will break. On the day you get hungry and pee omg lots of peeing, then hold onto your hats for a huge drop. Weds morn I dropped a cool 900gm after a hungry peeing tuesday. So for the end of week 15 as my records show, from my original lowest of 74.2 to now of 72.3 that's a cool loss of 1.9kg. I'll take that but only a shrinkage of 1/2". Isn't this diet cool or what. Well that's it for me Take care all Katie |

One heck of a woman!!
Congrats on a fantastic drop, Katie!
I've been catching up on your diary, and it's all been happening with you! Sorry to hear your dear hubby has to go far away from you, especially when he is such a great support! I can understand how that would be really difficult! And look at how you just kept on going... got past the PI visits and you are almost a 60s girl with NORMAL BMI!!! OMG!!! You seriously rock! Thanks for the heads up on the PI scenario!! I'm one of those ones at the moment, so I'll be watching out for you that peeing, hungry day!! The leather jacket sounds GORGEOUS!!! Can't wait to see it! Keep on clocking those victories!! Vee |
