Thanks guys!

Huggie, it's that "without milk" thing that's killing me. I can't stand black tea.

Only 7 sleeps to go, and I can have a cup of tea!!!

Weighed in at 78.7 this morning, so 100g loss since yesterday.

On to day 4 of Refeed!

Hi Asy!
I have been truly Inspired, Astounded, Encouraged and Amazed by your Journey! I have been telling everyone I know about you and your diary and telling them to read it. I am keeping a diary over at the "other" forum..... cos I didnt know about this one!

I wish you all the most wonderful blessings and success and everything SUPER DUPER to come your way! Thanks SO much for sharing your journey with us! It really gives me hope that I too can go on to reach my goal (still have 43kgs to go...but I know I can get there!). I do have one question... what would you say was your average weekly loss...not if you add it together and divide it kind of loss.. but if you did record losses weekly what was it likely to be? (hahah hope that makes some sense!)

Again! Thanks so much! You rock!
Bless ya
Kath

Hiya Kath,

Thanks for your kind words!

If you want help importing your diary over to here, let me know. (but only if that's what you want to do).

My average weekly loss for most of the time was just over 2kg. It's slowed down markedly in the last 2-3 months, to around 1kg. They say this is "long term concentrated fat", which is harder to shift.

The fast loss for most of it was really important to me. Could you imagine having to lose 90kg at a rate of quarter or half a kg a week? Holy daylights! Even at half a kg a week, it would have taken me THREE AND A HALF YEARS!!! That would have driven me nuts!

Hope that answered your question! Let me know if it didn't.

Well, I weighed myself before dinner today, and it was in the 77's. So I'll be interested to see what the official weight tomorrow morning is.

I'm eating so much now, I'm actually having trouble getting all my fruit eaten.

Must say I'm SO enjoying the Bread at lunch time.

Tomorrow seems a 'consolidation day' as it's the same as today was. After tomorrow the plan changes a little and quantities really go up, and I get to eat a Banana!!!

I wanted to get some blueberries tonight, as I love them, but a 'serve' is about 120g, and a punnet is 125g, but they were nearly $8 !!! Holy batprices!

So I had Lychees and Pineapple as my 'new fruit' today, they were yum.

Must say, one of the BEST 'side-effects' of this programme is the reaction of my kids. My daughter's so pleased mum's not "tall around the edges" any more it's fantastic.

One of her favourite teachers at school is leaving at the end of this week (what in hell are EdQLD up to! They keep changing the teachers, the kids heads are spinning), and they're going bushwalking on Friday to say goodbye. Stephanie has asked me to come along (with the dog). She's so excited that I will now be able to walk the whole walk!!!

Must say she's more confident than I am!!! I still have a sore knee, but I'm sure I'll survive...

I gotta drive to the farm Friday night, but I'll leave it till Saturday to go if I'm too tired after walking.

I can't wait!!!

I'm really looking forward to going, I've recently bought myself a backpack especially for bushwalking. I have a 'going out' backpack, but it's not suitable for bushwalking because it hasn't got the waist strap and I get really REALLY sore shoulders carrying it walking, so I bought a new one that has got a waist strap and is really comfy.

I test drove it at the Casino Show last week, and it's really great, I can loosen off the shoulder strap on the sore side, and the waist strap takes up the slack, really cool!

Best of all, I bought it at Big W, and it was only $45, which is great, coz I'm soooo broke... hehe

I need to buy a camera case that just takes my camera, nothing else. I have a really big case that takes all my gear and lenses but it's too big, and I can't carry it bushwalking (it just about trips me over!). So I'll be on the hunt tomorrow night at the Brisbane meet up. Oh, so, I'll have to take my camera (for sizing up!)!!!

My brother rang me and we've been gasbagging for hours, so don't anyone look at what time it is, OK?

asy (gone to bed now)

Asy, re the blueberries, I bought the frozen ones in a 500gm box, it worked out heaps cheaper than fresh and just delicious in yoghurt (thawed) and as a smoothie too. I did the same with the mixed berries and strawberries. Enjoy.

The trick is to make sure you spread the extra amounts evenly though the day, extra yogurt at breakfast etc. If you save the extra stuff for dinner then it is like a small mountain of food!

Hi Asy,

Fantastic to meet you and Stephanie. I am still in shock. I can't believe that you are where you are. Yes your ticker says it and I have read it 1000 times but to actually see it is something else. Thanks.

One question I didn't get around to was did you ever deviate and if so very much.

Have a fantastic day today and a really good break for the kids holidays.

Melissa

Thanks Asy for the Information! I was really hoping for a 2kg a week loss myself cos then I would be finished sometime around Christmas/New Year....but I have been a bit slow... like only 1.3 per week. I think I have started to pick up a little cos I have increased my water intake by another litre up to 4L (and I've just lost 1.1 in 3 days)... but I figure even if I lose it 1kg a week then I will still finish within the year! YOU DID it for a whole year... so can I!

Thanks again. You truly are an inspiration and I agree with everyone else who has said you should go on TV or something!! Go in the competitions and let people know about Cohen's!

Bless ya
Kath

Hi all!

Cate, you're welcome here, I hope you hang around!!!

Pudge, Strawberries are out of season here, and SOOOOOOO expensive, this little black duck won't be having any, anytime soon... I get a Banana today, though, and I'm looking forward to it!!!

Kannadew! Keep moving forward and you'll be finished before you know it. Christmas isn't such a big deal, there's another one next year, did you know? If you are still on the programme this xmas, don't fret, you'll be finished before next one!

Melissa, It was magnificent to meet all of you guys too! Deviations? yup, I had two. Both accidental. The first one, I was eating Salmon without realising it wasn't on the menu. I had very little loss that week and Sue and I sat down to work out why. Worked it out pretty fast!!! The second one was only a couple of weeks ago. Stephanie and I were at wooleys and they had lemonade on sale. I usually have an orange one that has a sugar free version, and she wanted the normal one. So we got both. (I bet you can see where this is going... ) I was sitting up really late one night gasbagging with my brother, who was visiting, and he made himself a coffee. I had the end of the bottle of my lemonade. Well, I thought I was having MY lemonade. In the morning, Stephanie was really upset coz she couldn't find her drink. I said, it's in the fridge. She said it's not, her brother must have drunk it coz the empty bottle is on the counter. I said, no, that's MY empty bottle from last night. She said, um, no, look, that's not diet! I was astonished. Bloody dill that I am, didn't look properly, they look so similar! Anyway, after a little tear, I was fine, but that's it.

Today I went on Stephanie's school excursion. It's estimated we walked about 8km. Up and down hills in the forest near us. It was a ball. I can't believe I walked so far. Must admit, had great company. One of the mums and I gasbagged nearly the whole trip, made it seem much shorter!!!

I'm a little tired now, but gotta pack coz we're off to the farm for the holidays. I'll still check in pretty much daily.

Have fun while I'm gone, and be good!!! hehe

This sentence killed me.

I thought OOOOH!!! Good idea, more YOGHURT!!! So I had extra for brekkie!

Um... nooooo... I was re-reading the 'rules' last night, and it specifically says No extra yoghurt! You are NOT allowed to increase the yoghurt quantity

This morning's yoghurt was yummy, I added a BANANA to it! Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'm at 79.4 this morning, so I've gained .4 yesterday, but, no bowel movement, so, hopefully that's why.

Will see tomorrow's weight.

I get to mix proteins today, what a pain in the pickle... It'll be a pain to cook a tiny amount of beef AND chook, but oh well, best do the plan!

Am off to the farm, will check in tonight. Cyas.

Hmmm, extra Yogurt is not excluded in my refeed document !!! I doubt there is any major impact on 25grams extra yogurt for one day ! ...certainly not a case of life and death

Sheesh LF, it was the ONLY opportunity I've had to tease you, you didn't expect me to let it through to the keeper, did ya???

Well, this morning I'm 100g down, so, during this refeed I've been vascillating between 79.4 - 78.3 up and down daily, not more than 500g change in any day. That's a good thing, I think.

I set on a magic brekkie this morning, I get a banana now, and three slices of bread, so for brekkie I had my yoghurt with half a banana chopped into it, and one slice of toast with the other half of the banana mashed onto it. Oh my GOSH it was GOOD! hmmmmmmm

Hi Asy,
What about surf and turf for mixing proteins... or using some cheese on your veges. Thats what I'm going to do initially when the quantities are so small,

Yeah, surf and turf sounds lovely, but I'm down the farm, so, steak and chookie it is

We're working this week cleaning up downed trees, having a ball! So, cooking dinner is a fast thing to enable a fast dinner to enable lengthy sitting on the couch relaxing in an exhausted state... Not feeling like mucking around in the evening after weilding a chainsaw all day I'm afraid!

Test drove a little Shindaiwa chainsaw today, it was really nice, hopefully we'll get a little saw soon, we badly need a little limbing saw and a bigger felling saw, we have in-between saws which are heavy to use all day for limbing and not big enough to fell big trees (so we have a guy in to do this lot). We're dropping and processing 70 trees over the next few weeks. Lots of work, but good fun.

Strawberries for supper tonight! WOOHOO!!!

CUP OF TEA TOMORROW MORNING! Can't wait. I think I'll get up early!!!
