Default Questions about refeed

Had an unexpected free few hours so decided to map out a refeed spreadsheet.

I have a few questions I'm hoping you experts can help me with:

(1) This "go back 2 days" thing. I've written down "cumulative gain" next to if you ggain more than 1 kg. Is that right? So if I start at, say, 63 I go back 2 days if my weight hits 64? What if I go down to 62, then go back up to 63? Does that count as cum 1kg gain?

(2) What happens if you do go back and repeat the same 2 days more than twice. It says "refeed is complete"but that means you never get to try mixing proteins, eating carbs etc.

(3) Food spacing: everything as per phase 1 (including crackers and fruit) until you reach protein mixing stage, then no spacing at all?

(4) What do you do if you can't eat it all?

(5) Is skimmed milk the same as low fat? Here in Singapore I've only seen low fat but I think it's semi-skimmed. Should I just dilute it?

(6) Can you add stuff to cheese meals to make, for example, a cheeseburger (i.e. add old protein to a cheese meal)?

(7) My programme isn't clear when to add alcohol, although the alcohol substitution rules are explained after day 16. I asked at the cinic and she said "As soon as you're allowed bread" but that's day 2 in mine which seems a bit soon.

( What weight of bread is "1 bread"?

Thanks.

Was getting really excited thinking of all that new stuff!

How clever you are to have done a spreadsheet! well done Some feedback on your questions:

"1 Bread" = 30g slice

My refeed didn't add alcohol until the last 3 days. I've been on Maintenance now for over a month - and - it's probably having alcohol that's the killer for me (too much sugar I guess).

The refeed I followed had protein mixes that were all meat and/or seafood. I didn't have any day/s where meat and cheese was allowed. So I didn't try it! So far in Maintenance the only thing I've done is try cheese more frequently as an easy lunch (ie more than 3 times / week). I now figure cheese is pretty dangerous stuff - 50 or 60g of heavily salt laden fatty stuff - so I"m treatin' it with respect.

Good luck - does it feel great to be on the final stretch with only 3+kgs to go??

One at a time
cum gain is calculated from goal weight so
if your goal was 10kg and you get to 11 kg that is a 1 kg cum gain doesn't matter how many days it happens over but the gain must be at least 1 kg over your goal weight

if you go back and repeat the same 2 days twice- refead is over - you now know what amounts your body can tolerate
trying new foods becomes your responsibility in maintenance

if you can't eat it all don't- there is no point in forcing yourself to eat more than you are capable of eating
I reckon you are better to try eating the new stuff at least - that way you will do some sort of tolerance test

you can add extra protein to cheese and egg meals BUT
you MUST NOT add cheese or egg to meat meals

adding alcohol is clearly defined in your refeed program usually stated in the carbs section as" you may now add alcohol"
remember that if you add alcohol you must sacrifice a slice of bread
also
please read the FAQ re standard drinks
also
alcohol is empty calories and if you haven't had any for a while- be careful
do not operate heavy machinery ( don't drive even if you only had one and don't feel affected- it is very deceptive

thanks mcpysch - you answered my cheese question (no 6)! I had a feta salad in the weekend but didnt think I could add a nice bit of beef to it - subsequently I was left with TOO MUCH protein in the evening meal....
