Hi Lenieliam,

The best piece of advice - grit your teeth and follow your program 100%. It may hurt for the first week, maybe 2 but after that, you will hit your stride, find your zone and it gets SO much easier.

Just say no. I know it sounds simplistic, but take it from me, you can do it. It is worth it. You are worth it and the program works if you stick to it.

I have lost 75kg in 1 year and 5 days.

Do not allow yourself to cheat and admit it is a choice. Are you ready to change?

Cheers

Butterfly

Cool Re: Tips for success

About to start re-committing myself to the program today!
My bf broke up with me last month and I've been emotionally damaged, but then I realized that this program is the exact distraction that I need!
I'll focus on my health & look, and not on him
I'm sure he'll be jawdropped when he sees my new figure in the future. Then, I'll go: BOOYAH! Lol

only just started but what I have found enthuses me to stick to it iTs the following..

I took a line up shot in my underwear, profile and side on in the mirror of the bathroom
I have printed/dated it and have stuck it on the mirror. Every time I dry myself it serves as a great reminder why I am doing this and why i will give no quarter when it comes to temptation.

I talk to people about the program and rpeat all the benefits of being 45 KG lighter ( there are heaps of course. Just talking about it reminds/encourages me and gains support and nice comments from the listener.

I am bad with timing so I am doing my crispbread 2 at a time so I only have to worry about 2x 2.5 hour gaps instead of 5.

I had made my own Cohens tomatoe sauce, blessed to have a Thermomix so makes this easy. Grab 5 tomtoes weighing 430 grams 50 grabs of fresh herbs and a 15 grab slive of onion and a 5 gram slice of fresh garlic. Boil for 40 minutes and blitz the ingredients. Ending up with 198 gram of product i topped it up with a coiuple of grams of fresh tomatoe. This made 10x 1/2 tomatoe serves counting out 50 grams of your veg allowance. It is AWESOME.

that is all for now that I can think of.

Second day in (second time around) and I am going well, however, i feel that i constantly need to keep my motivation up and reading this forum really helps!

I find that the hardest time is before dinner so I try to have a little nap and time just flies past - I wake up refreshed and ready to eat!

Some wonderful tips here, thanks all.

I find a Tspn of psyllium in hot water half way between meals to be quite filling and feels like it is cleaning out my insides

Also, I spread my 2 fruits across the day and chop a bit of apple into my lunchtime salad. The combination of fruit and protein and veges is also very filling.

Finally, if I'm not hungry enough to eat an apple I'm not hungry...
Best,
M

This is where I read the smell thing!!!
I smelled an oreo biscuit to bits yesterday. My 3.5year old had oreos and he gave mommy one!! I just sat there with the thing in hand smelling it until hubby came along and I quickly passed it to him.

Hehehehe.... the things we do!!

Tonnes of good stuff in here, thought it needed a bump, and adding my own as well.

1 rotate your meals each day, it keeps your body guessing
2 remember to down size your water water, I had to about 10 - 5 kg to go
3 meat protein for every meal can speed up fat burning, or help push through stalls.

I haven't read all these through, so I'll give my few tips that I've learnt so far.
* Always be prepared. If you're going to a party, make your food, take your diet soda, your bottle of water and your fruit!
* Use the herbs you are allowed. It makes a great difference to the taste of your food and can add some great colour: Chillis, garlic, corriander/cilantro, rosemary, tyme - you name it.
* Make your food look delicious. We "eat" with our eyes. If something looks delicious, you want to eat it

Agreed - the longer - the easier. I've nearly completed my 5th week and the food is sufficient. I try remember that the food is now fuel. I eat to live, I no longer live to eat. It can be a mental battle especially on an emotionally bad day and all you want to do is comfort eat. Make a cup of black rooibos (red bush) tea, a shquish of lemon from your fruit quota, a sweetener and slip slowly.

Water Tip: Add a little mint into your water to add a minty freshness.
