Hi!

I live in the Philippines and started Cohen 4 weeks ago... goal is to lose 13 kgs... to date I have lost already 6 kgs the first two weeks into the program... but getting a bit frustrated because my my weight hasn't dropped since the third week... I know I am not supposed to weigh myself until the weigh-in but I couldn't help weighing once a week.. I am scheduled for my 4-week weigh in and blood test tomorrow...

I am glad to have discovered this forum and to read all the encouraging stories not to mention the recipes you guys have shared... good luck to all of us!

Hi Mytime,

Welcome aboard !! Seems you already know this is the way to go

You need a ticker? Too easy - go click on the link below, and SMS will take you step-by-step through it (onya, SMS)

http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=158845#post158845

Do visit the "stickies" of the various forums (fora ?) as much of the good stuff is held therein. Especially the "New Diaries" section - I suspect you will want to start a Diary too? The stickies in that section tell you what you need to do.

Hi there everyone!
I have been on the programme for around 9 weeks now. I have been a long time newyouforum viewer (daily since I started!) and have decided to join as I may need the support during refeed and maintenance!

As you can see from my ticker, my weight was never very high to start with but it is a decent way above my Cohen's goal weight (which I think is tiny!), however I was unhappy with my weight gain which has been steady over the last 2 years and decided to be proactive about it before it got worse (which I knew it would). Cohen's looked like the best bet to me as it had fabulous reviews, continuous monitoring and support from the clinics while on the programme, and you come away from it with advice for living the rest of your life eating what should be 'normally' for each of us.

That's just a bit about me!

Hello everyone,
I'm determined to do Cohen's second time round starting on 17th. I had great success with it first time round but once I completed refeed and lost strick guidelines, I gradually put weight back on.
Oh, what silly me, I did not think I would end up in this situation. Although I am not surprised after all.

Btw. welcome all fresh starters.

Hi everyone!

I am new to this forum, though not new to Cohens, and have been lurking in the background for a couple of weeks. I thought it must be time to come out and say hi

This will be my second time around. I completed the program in 2006 but due to various problems in the last year and a half (which I'll save for my personal diary) have found my weight increasing.

I've been working the program for a couple of weeks already and really don't have too much weight to lose as you'll see from my ticker, but know the value of being connected in a like-minded community- I belonged to another Cohen's forum many moons ago that was crucial to my success- hence why I am here!

Hope to see you all around!
Nat

Hey Everyone,

I am new to the forum, I am currently in week 5 going for week6. I have stuck to my program and I am proud to say I have not cheated once, although after reading the info about yogurt last night, I discovered my low fat yogurt has thickener in it, I immediately emailed the online consultant and I waiting for a reply! but now I know to double check whatever I buy!!

I have lost 12kg in the first 4weeks and 40.5cm all over!! I still have 20kg to go but I am positive!!

xx

Hi I'm new to the diet and to the forum. I am in week 2 of the diet and was losing motivation due to being sick of the food. I have found the recipes on the site very motivating and think they will help me to keep going. Thanks for the great ideas,

Hi everyone! I'm from Manila, Philippines and I just started the diet last Monday, Dec. 5 and am currently on my third day. Hoping to lose 65 or more pounds before my 30th birthday in May!

Is there anyone in the forum from the Philippines that is still on the program?

Hi Everyone, Happy New Year!
I started Cohen's nearly 12 weeks ago now, but didn't get around to checking out this forum. I have lost 18.5kg so far!
I am on the downhill run and hope to be on this for just another few weeks - I am getting pretty sick of the food, so I am going to check out the recipes here.

Hi everyone - Happy New Year.

I am starting Cohen's tomorrow morning. I get my plan tonight and am both looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time. I have a lot of weight to lose (70+ kg; not sure exactly until I get my plan tonight), so I expect that it will take me all year to get to my goal weight.

I am also getting married in May, so it will be interesting to see how I go between now and then, and also how I handle the food at both the reception and on our honeymoon. I'm wondering if I can get away with packing scales so I can measure my meals...

No doubt I'll have questions galore after I do start, but I just can't wait to start this journey back to the old me. The one that was healthy and active and went out and enjoyed life!

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hi Guys
I’m a newbie to Cohen’s too, over the years I think I’ve tried just about every diet there is and always managed to go back to my original weight plus some! This time I’m determined it’s going to be different. I’ve been on Cohen’s for six weeks and stayed strong, even over Christmas & New Year, but now my weight loss seems to have slowed down considerably, my consultant thinks it may be because I’m eating the same things repeatedly & says I should try to vary my diet – I’m finding this pretty hard - Has anyone else come across this or have any ideas?
