Default One week into the program, still with heavy period

Hi! let me start by mentioning that I have PCOS and was not having a proper, regular period since July. During my cycle, i would normally just shed drops. When I started into the program a week ago, immediately the period came and it was normal heavy flow so i was happy. However, my period is still heavy up to now. Is this normal? Thanks in advance!

I also suffer from PCOS, and find that Cohens does some weird stuff to me - I am on a contraceptive pill, but when on Cohens, even if I am taking my pills I have experienced a breakthrough period - very protracted in length and very painful. Has only happened once to me each time I have done Cohens in earnest.

I don't know if it is "normal" per se, but definitely it does mess around with things (but hopefully for the better in the long run). Once I hit maintenance I will ask my doctor to do more blood tests and schedule an ultrasound to see if things have changed for me in terms of my PCOS.

Good luck!

I am another PCOSer... And yes, cohens does some weird stuff!!!

See how you go for a little while longer and I'd say if it hangs around much longer, you might need to see your doc! Or, at the least, talk to your clinic.

Your body might just be having a good old fashioned clean out (hehe).
