Default Tasty Steak

I thought I would just share a meal I made last night that was so tasty.

I make 2 meals. Mine and my partners. They are normally fairly similar I just add some different veggies to his and give him a larger peice of meat. I always use 2 pans mine a small non stick and another one for his.

Steak and Cabbage.

Steak (allowance)
Cabbage (70% allowance)
mushies (30% allowance)
Balsamic Vinegar
Pepper
Little salt.

Grind pepper over the steak and press in. Place the Steak into the pan and pour over a little balsamic. Turn the steak and continue to cook to your liking. Remove steak from pan and cover with foil and leave on a plate to sit (I under cook it a little as it will continue to cook with the foil).

Add the Cabbage and mushrooms to the pan with a little salt and water (the water will deglaze the balsamic) give it a stir. Cover and leave to steam on a low heat. Stir occasionally. The Balsamic sauce will coat the cabbage. Serve and enjoy.

I left the cabbage and mushroom mix for as long as it took me to mash potatoes, make gravy and steam peas for the BF's meal.

Its really nice. Because it has a sauce its like your having gravy as well.

Just dont lick the gravy spoon i had to wash my mouth out last night before I swallowed it!!

Started 11/1/08. Lowest weight reached 63.8 kgs on 10/11/08 and 40 kgs down. Thank you Dr Cohen.
Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Thumbs up Great Receipe Ronky!

Hi Ronky, I read your steak receipe last night and made it for my lunch today at work. It was beautiful and I had staff come into the lunch room asking what that delightful smell was. I will definately be making that one again!
