You are doing a good thing, so hold on tight to that. As others have mentioned, some things can trip you up, so read a lot on here and learn of the "traps".... One major trap is thinking your weight will drop daily - it doesn't, and can even go up now and then, even when you are doing everything right.... Please don't fall into that trap. One of the good things seems to be "the feel of your clothes". Find something you loved to wear that just got a bit tight, and put it on perhaps once a week - that is a better guide even than the scales. And if you have any concerns about Cohens, share them here or in your diary. I won't say "good luck" 'cos you don't need luck. What I will say is "Go hard". Koh

A few that work for me: - Brush my teeth, nothing tastes good after and I can't be bothered doing it twice - Get out of the house, even just around the block - Paint my nails (can't open a packet with wet nails) - Have a shower - Sort out one drawer or shelf, small enough to actually finish - Cup of tea sitting down properly, not standing at the bench - Text someone about anything other than food The other thing that helped was noticing the cupboard trips happen at the same times most days for me, late afternoon and after dinner. Once I spotted the pattern I started planning something for those windows instead of white-knuckling it. And be kind to yourself if the biscuit wins occasionally. Beating yourself up makes it harder, not easier. |

Hi Jo,
Thanks for adding to this great topic. It has been a big help to many folks, and can be to many more yet to come. Good to hear some new ideas that are working. Go hard, Koh
