Default My First Week

So excited to measure myself this morning! I've lost 19.5cms in my first week! Its been a great week. Before I started, my friend mentioned how she never felt hungry - and its true!! Sometimes I had to remember to eat my salada as I felt no inclination at all CAUSE I WAS NEVER HUNGRY. I would recommend if you are looking at starting Cohens try and devote 3 days to get yourself organised, eg, maybe start on the weekend or Friday as it allows you time to get used to preparing your meals (which are so quick and easy), and also for any physical challenges you may have, like headaches, tiredness etc. I look it at being the beginning of your new life - enjoy a time just to relax - read a book, borrow some dvds - its now YOUR TIME - time for YOU! Believe me, summer will be here before we know it !!!!

Wow fantastic losses in the cm - that is HUGE! Have you set up a diary in the diary section? We would love to hear all about you over there!

Heaviest to lightest - 117kg - 57.5kg (59.5kg)
2008 Cohen's Graduate (lost 37.9kg) finished @ 57.5kg
2010 Cohen's Graduate (lost 16kg) finished at 58kg
Mind~body~spirit approach is my winning formula

Goal 1: Under 80kg (done 4.5.13) Goal 2 - 75kg, Goal 3 Under 70kg, Goal 4 - normal BMI 65.8kg!! Goal 4 - final goal 65 - 62kg and start refeed

Welcome Janette,

I am in towards the end week 5 of Cohens and I am feeling great.
Your right about meals are quick and easy to prepare and you never feel hungry.
I founf the first month the weight just fell off so easily.
Have found things have slowed down a bit lately, but the cm's are still disappearing so all good.

Other benefits are you will find your skin feels fantastic and you will just feel so healthy.
I love this program ..

Great cm loss Jeanette and the best bit is that people can't come at you with the old 'it's only fluid" quote. You can't argue with cm! I am just getting my head around the fact that I am not physically hungry - the things I feel or desire come from an emotional need or trigger. Have a great second week!

Thanks for replying - I agree - my skin is feeling great - I'm a really coffee lover but have decided not to have caffeine at all and I'm so surprised that along with food, I'm not missing it. I really think that all that water is probably all our body needs with fluid intake.

Welcome, Janette. I've just found your posts here. Sounds like you've started out well. Like you, I've been surprised at what I thought I'd miss but haven't.

Started 11/1/08. Lowest weight reached 63.8 kgs on 10/11/08 and 40 kgs down. Thank you Dr Cohen.
Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Isn't it funny, it doesn't matter how much water water I drink during the day I still wake up every morning feeling dehydrated like I have been up all night drinking wine....
My body feels like it just can't get enough water at the moment....

I'm up multiple times during the night, have a couple of mouthfuls each time. I start each morning with a full glass. My problem is a dry mouth as much as actually being thirsty.
