Smile New_RUBY's Refeed Diary

Well, it does seem a bit odd starting his diary now, given that I'm up to day 10 out of my 18 day (min) Refeed program.
But I am finding that I have quite a few questions, and despite needing assistance rather quickly on some of them, my clinic isn't always available... Hence, I thought I'd start up a refeed diary, and see if some questions may be picked up and checked out in here instead of in the other refeed section...
Not going to bore all readers with my daily weigh in details, but summarily speaking: I started Refeed on Thursday 4th Dec at 56.5kg, and have effectively gone down 700g, up 200g, down 100g, up 300g etc etc; to my lowest weight last Friday of 55.7kg.
The daily weighing is not new to me, but being quite 'calm' about a gain is! So long as it doesn't jump back up to 56.7kgs then I'm ok!
Anyway, here is the start of my Refeed dairy... not sure how much action it will see, but I'm here!
Ruby

Question unanswered question...

Any takers on this one please??

Hi Ruby

Sounds like you are just cruising through refeed. But it does sound a bit confusing

Sorry I can't help you in regards to your question. PMing AJ or one of the others might give you a faster reply.

Good luck

Katie

Default ... and yet another Question

Calling all refeeders, past and present...

So where I'm allowed to have 3 slices of bread per day, can I have more than one slice at a time? Or am I bound to the 'one at a time' and only 'every 2.5 hours' rules...?

Hi Ruby,

Congrats on making it this far. Regarding the bread, the most i had a time was 2 slices, if you wanted all 3 go for it, you'll find out if your body like it the next day. And regarding the milk question, it wouldn't make any difference if you subtracted it from new "old protien" or from your original plan, by the end of my refeed i was choosing meals from my original program where i could subtract all the old protien from one and just add all my new protien to it so as i could reduce the amount i was eating. Hope this all helps.

Not much happening, though I am astounded that I seem to be eating so much more food now... 3 slices bread, x00g extra protein, 4 pieces fruit, carrot, broccoli, corn, potato and adding milk to coffee every day... and yet this morning's weight was my lowest so far... 55.4 kgs.
In case you doubt the validity of this system : this really works people!!!

Wow Ruby, still losing weight even after the bread, milk, starchy veg? That is way cool .

I was really scared about refeed thinking I'd put on weight but there really was nothing to worry about and geez it feels good to have some more food doesn't it?

Suzie

Lookin' good Ruby . Wow sounds like you are having some fantastic yummy meals, I've being pretty boring, just can't be bothered making a big effort only for myself when I have others to make dinner for as well. Also busy with Christmas coming, we are having 3 Chrissy get togethers at our place over the next week so I'm busy trying to organise food etc for those.

Looking forward to when I have a little more time and freedom to make what I want and don't have to weigh everything, will be a bit easier then.

Keep on having fun Ruby, glad to see you've worked out all your queries for refeed.

Suzie

Hi Ruby

Wow you are just loving Refeed. I hope I respond to it, just as half as well as you.

I want to say a big thanks for your help in my decision with my "crisis". It's moments like that when this forum (well the great people on here) really count.

OMG wine. I can't wait. Though mines going to be a scotch. Drooling over it already. Day 17 and counting.

Keep on cruising

Katie

Default Day 16

woo hoo... tonight I can have a glass of wine!
But really, I don't even know if I want it now !!
Down 100g overnight... 54.8kgs now.

All going well, even in the lead up to Xmas, no desire to pig out or eat rubbish any more. Love the new found freedom of making smart choices, and simply ignoring all the other stuff, which my brain now recognises as 'poison'. Gotta love it.

Hi new ruby
this might be a little late, but I asked the consultants the other day the exact question about the bread and they replied that it doesn't matter, u can have 2 slices in one go, so there is no need to space them out.
sorry about the delay

congratz on refeed sounds like you have done great.

Default what strangeness on Day 16!

hmmm.. after coveting this day (in advance) for a couple of weeks... day 16 has been and gone in terms of Cohen refeed... and this is/was the day where I could add alcohol.
Yes I did want to at first glimpse of the dangling carrot; and then in the end, tonight (gasp)... I just didn't even want it ?!??! Truly bizarre. So I had another cracker instead!
I am even amazed at myself.

lol Ruby

I'm looking forward to day 17 just like you did. After so long without alcohol we probably just don't need it to "unwind" like before. That's a good habit to take with us. Though I'm going to force myself to have 1 (it's my Graduation night that night, what timing ey).

Maybe tonite you will feel like one. Either way you are so close to finishing now. Must be a relief

Hi Katie,
Thanks for popping by so much of late, it's nice to know I'm not just talking to myself here !!
And yes, with only today and tomorrow to go... I am nearly there.
Good luck with your program. Have you decided when to start?
Ruby

Did ya have a wine yet?? You must be nearing the end now Ruby. How exciting. No more weighing and bit more relaxing. I have come by frequently during the time you had a refeed diary. I just never really posted as I couldn't help in these sections. Was a bit disappointed that you had decided not to at first. But really glad you have now.

The way you cruised through it Ruby looks like you will hit maintenance on your feet and up and running.
