unfortunately if your program says 1 med apple then 2 small is not ok....try and choose med apples..... weights only apply if that is what is stipulated on your program.... kiwi fruit nad mangoes for me and weigh only what you are going to eat....

Yep

Just make sure you remember how much you split your fruit so you don't go over your daily allowance

Happy losing

Katie

I go to a seperate shop from where I do my shopping just because they have the biggest 'medium' apples

If the tag says medium - that's good enough for me. I can't get enough of me Pink Lady's.

Sorry probably not the response you were after, not sure what a medium apple weighs.......

Just weighed the Apples I have and they are 199gms and 192gms. Probably a little big But Kiwi Fruit was 160gms and Honey Dew 180gms, Paw Paw 180gms so I would use that as a guide ........ maybe.

Hope someone else can be more help

By the World standards one serve of fruit is one cup of fruit - and actually I was told by my consultant that so long as the apple was not looking like it was on steroids it was better than a small apple - as it still has as much sugar in it as a big apple - the smaller the apple the sweeter they are as a rule,

but one cup = one serve

I have always used my fist size as a medium piece of fruit, but guys like Andy probably have a bigger fist than mine, so the 1 cup = 1 serve is prolly best.

You can eat them anytime you like.

You do NOT have to eat all your fruit (after day 10. Fruit and crispbread should be eaten as prescribed for the first 10 days, then they are optional but it's highly suggested that you have at least 2 crispbread and 1 fruit per day (with an apple every couple of days for the fibre))

You should wait a minimum of 2.5 hours after one piece of fruit to have another. Doesn't matter whether you have them with, or between, meals, but you shouldn't have them both/all at the same time.

Hope that clears things up.

Thanks asy!! i have a clearer picture now. But until today(4th week cohens) i still take all my crackers and fruit(only apple so far) allowance between meal. I really love my crackers and apples!!even love it and looking forward to eat it more than my main meal. May be i feel better after taking carbs from cracker and sugar from apple. I think i will not miss any of my fruit and crakers allowance until the end of my diet. Do u think this will slow down my weight from dropping? should i just reduced my intake of crackers and fruit allowance hope to speed up the process??

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!

Skipping fruit/crackers WILL NOT SPEED UP YOUR WEIGHT LOSS so long as you only eat them as prescribed.

PROMISE.

Don't muck around with the programme, "it works if you work it, so work it, it's worth it".

Don't try to "do things to speed it up", it works fast enough as it is, and it will keep you healthy. Once you start trying to rush things, like not eating everything, or excessive exercise, then not only does it not work to speed things up, but may hamper your efforts.

Most definately!!
I still eat all my prescibed foods, and still seem to lose weight! The only thing I may miss out is 1 cracker- only because I forgot or didn't realise the time LOL!!

Thanks asy!! it seems like a good news to me,so happy that i can still stick to my prescribed allowance of crackers and fruit but i'm really depressed with the slow progress, can u imagine i only lost 3.2 kg over the 1st month!! but i realised i have some pimples break out this week,i usually don't have pimples until one week before my menses. But my period still got long way to due. Can i assume my growth hormone is initiated and my body is in the process of regulating it??

Hannah

Would like to offer you another way of looking at it :

3.2 of 11.4 kgs total is about 30% in one month - pretty good I'd say.

Had I lost 30% in one month I would have lost about 25 kgs - so your percentage loss is fantastic. Well done.

Congrats
Shanara
