URGENT: Clinic might be closing. What now?

HI

I have been on the plan for 4 weeks and have had amazing results.

I spoke to my consultant today and she mentioned that the clinic will close down if she cant find someone to take over from her, which is fine, but does that mean that we will be transfered to a diffrent clinic, we have paid our money so how are we going to get our refeeds???? Please advice.

Hi Chloe,

In previous instances, there ARE ways that your situation will be resolved - so, first point, don't stress... !!

Second, since I don't know which clinic you are with, it is hard to know just what to advise....

In other instances (where clinics close) they are often referred to Perth - but, this might change depending on your location.

Hi Chloe,

As I have said on here often, I do believe the Cohen system is "on your side", so I fully expect that "there will be a way" for you to continue, and get your Refeed.

At a guess, if your clinician can't help, then I would be confident that Perth office could set your mind at ease. In the past, as some clinics have closed, the members have all been directed to the Perth clinic. So, at the very least, a call to them should yield results.

And, why Perth? Well, as I understand it, Perth was the FIRST clinic in Australia - thus it is the "root" (or base) of the Cohens Plan in Oz.

If a clinic closes Head Office takes over (which is Perth clinic).

Your refeed will not be in jeaopardy so long as you maintain your blood tests.

Also, if the clinic closes you'll be contacted by Perth clinic and told exactly what's going on, so, again, as Koh says, Don't Stress!!!

Thank you much appreciated! I know some people do it from remote locations nation wide, but was not aware untill today that these clinics is independantly owned! I will send an email off and wait for a reply!

removing the clinic name is just going to cause more panic. Now everyone's going to be saying "Hey, is that MY CLINIC?"!!!

Best to just let the Townsville people know they *may* be affected and they can call their clinic if they want.

HOpe you don't mind Chloe (I had visions of hundreds of phone calls to clinics this morning asking what was going on!)

I do think everyone that is with the clinic has been contacted by the consultant so no reason for panic, I was just worried as I was not sure we can be transferred and wondered if that means we will get refeed or will have to go without or will have to order it early to make sure we have it for when we get to that stage! She said she will be here for a few more months!

Chloe I am in townsville and I did my program from Brisbane before there was a clinic here. I used this this forum as my support and had not problems

I was a bit worried as I felt I payed the money and was worried about not getting my refeed or maintance guide! I still have about 15kg to go and think it will be another 12 weeks on the program if all goes well! Probably heading over to Canada for a holiday over easter and a bit worried about that, as I will eat only Cohens food but the weighing might be a problem, on planes ect, so that might add some time to program! Just dont want to be out in the cold, as this is hard work and not being able to finish with refeed will be devestating!

I travelled a lot through out my program and it can be done but really flying it the most difficult time. Planes just dont cater for out type of eating. When it comes to flying it's pretty much pack your own food or deivate - unless your in business where the choices are definately much better!!
