Default Dry skin??

Over the last 2/3 weeks, I have noticed my skin (esp on my face) becoming very very dry.... I have used the same moisturiser for about 15years with no problems at all! And suddenly by about 10am; my face is becoming all dry esp around the chin, cheeks and nose areas. Find it really hard to get through the days...
Has any one else been through this at all? Or is this not related to Cohen's??

Definitely has been mentioned a lot around the place! I have really dry hands and have since starting the program. Not sure what causes it but I take Zinc tablets to help, also make sure you have your Fish Oil or flaxseed oil each day.

Yeh I get some dry skin things happening... Like Caz, I am sure to take my vitamins every day. (blackmore's skin, nails and hair one and also a flaxseed oil... I have some zinc but not sure if I can have it.)

Can you bring your moisturiser with you during the day and 'top up'? The change in weather might also be causing some issues.

Thanks - I am taking my multi vitamin each day, along with an additional Vit C, magnesium and a Fish Oil capsule.
And I will now take my moisturiser to work with me each day to top up - I ended up coming home at lunch time (work 5 mins drive away) today to get it so I could top up this afternoon.

Hiya, same thing happened to me for about a three to four week period and then suddenly back to normal. I tried everything, more water etc but nothing changed. Perhaps not helpful but hopefully reassuring.

Skin So Silky is what you need. It cures dry skin faster and leaves no spot of scratches on itchy areas.

I would be weary of taking too many supplements with oil it can derail your eating plan - check with your clinic or online consultant on quantities of these types of supplements. Magnesium helps with peeling skin - I used to have that when I cycled a lot - the loss of salts lead to my hands peeling. find a good body butter. I actually use a salt scrub three days a week that has oil in it and my skin is very soft and nourished even if I do smell like a big strawberry. My kids like to cuddle if I use it - I think I remind them of a bowl of jelly. I also use a vitamin E based eucerin body cream every second day and mine is definately improving. I have very fair skin and so it is naturally dry. I am finding one of the biggest changes since starting Cohens is my skin is looking great and feeling soft - but I am consciously putting in an effort to nourish it too. Also for the past year I have been keeping my moisturiser in the fridge and it makes a massive difference to the nourishment factor. the heat used to make it runnier and now it is thick and cold so it really feels awesome going on after my shower.
