Default Mozarella Madness WATCH OUT !!!!

Readers of my diary will be aware that I have come unstuck this week by including mozzarella cheese in my allowance for the first time.....resulting in a 1 point something kilo weight gain (and a MAJOR hissy-fit)......I have a mild milk intolerance which may explain it......
I'd be really interested to know if anyone else has any experience of this and can offer any gems of wisdom ??
Cheers Lily

Hi ,

! have the Mozerella at least 3 - 4 times per week and love it. i was worried at the start because i am allowed 70grs at meal 1 and this was so much higher than my friend.
I asked my consultant to check up for me but she never received a reply from Dr cohen, so i am assuming its ok. Anyway my weight loss seems to be on target and i have never put on weight with it...i guess my body copes with the protein or something....

I have mozzarella 2 or 3 times a week & have never had a problem with it, although I do recall a few people saying that their loss wouldn't be as good as if they were to of had something else like chicken.. make sure it's not the pre-grated variety as they have things like flour etc added to stop the cheese from sticking together.

I've only recently added cheese and have found no difference in my weightloss.

Hi Garden Goddess,

Definately sounds familiar!

When I first started, I found that every time I had cheese for lunch, my weight loss slowed - even stopped.

I also found that yoghurt did the same thing.

It seems that I also had an intolerance to dairy which I have put down to a lactose intolerance.

I now avoid all dairy foods while on the program and have found that my weight loss is consistent. I havent had any dairy now for the past 5 months and I really dont miss it - although I do make sure I take a good calcium supplement to make up for not having any dairy.

Hope this helps,

Nat

WOW! How interesting, I don't include cheese in my meals. I just seem to prefer meat, but I was thinking of having some on my vita weets and grilling it, for a change. I will let you know if I have any queries. Also thanks for reminding me Faithy about not buying to pre-grated stuff.
Regards Kelly

Yes Nat that sure does help . I thought was going mad/making excuses again.I have excluded cheese and yoghurt to be safe for a couple of days now and already feel less bloated....all a learning curve now isn't it ??
