Default SkinnyMe's Refeed Diary

I finally made it to goal and I am soooo happy

I thought I would start this new thread to track my refeeding since it has been so helpful to me to read others.

I am planning on starting refeed this coming Thursday (which is your Friday). I decided on that day since I will complete week 16 and start refeed on my week 17. YEAH!!!

It's funny how I wanted to be at the point of starting refeed so badly...rush rush rush...but now that I'm here I'm not really ready to start. I could start tomorrow...but I'm waiting. I am not sure I am ready for life after Cohen's...I'm so scared that I might screw it up. Funny how we can make ourselves a bit crazy with it all.

Cindy

Congratulations Cindy

I love reading the refeed diaries and I look forward to reading yours.

I have had my refeed for a couple of weeks but I am not yet at my goal weight. Yesterday I decided to do a menu for the 15 days. Well I got to day 4 and decided I should not plan to far ahead because you don't know how certain foods are going to affect you.

It is an exciting time and I'm sure you will do well.

Cheers

Tuti

Cindy, I felt exactly the same way. Don't worry, you'll get where you want to be.

Cindy,
If you have your re feed ready, maybe just see how you go and you know you have it there if you want to start.
I haven't been hungry until today, was very hungry this morning before lunch and my back is really aching today.

I go and see my consultant tomorrow, she wants me to order re feed, so I will see how the hunger is going and take it from there.

It will probably take a week to get, and I might be lucky like you and drop a few decent numbers by then!!

Hey Shell...You have done so well...I wonder if your body is telling you it is time to start refeed. You are feeling kinda bad it sounds like. Hunger and all the other things you mentioned in your diary. I'm glad you are going to talk to your consultant tomorrow. I'd be interested in knowing what she has to say. It might be worth it at this point to just get your refeed ordered...then you have a while before you need to start anyway. You can for sure lose more in that time. Hope you feel better soon.

I have decided to start my refeed this Thursday either way. I was pretty starving again in the middle of the night but forced myself back to sleep. When I woke up this morning...famished again. Maybe the hunger is there. I just finished my breakfast so I will see how the day goes...but either way I am happy at this weight and I will start refeed this week. YEAH!!!

I am going to spend the afternoon reading it over and over as I have done many times already. Just want to make sure I have a handle on it. I also made an excel spread sheet that I printed out and put on my fridge so I can see exactly what I need to do everyday. Very helpful.

Thats it for now...thanks everyone for stopping in and for all your support.

Cindy

Hi Candy,
Will let you know how I go with my appointment.

I am really looking forward to having some baked pumpkin Weird huh!!
Thought baking it in the oven it would be tastier than mashing because you cant have butter, and the flavour is much nicer cooked in the oven.

What a weird food choice to be thinking about, thought it would be pasta or lamb-my favorites!!
The other day it was chicken scnitzel.

Do you have any food that you can't wait to have, and has it changed from what you used to eat?
I spose I am lucky as I am not a sweet tooth- thank god!!
Love my savoury food- cheese, yum!

Have a great day

Hey Shell,

I am getting so used to this type of foods I am really happy with them. I really do want potatoes though. I had to make roasted potatoes for a family event this weekend and it almost killed me. I would have loved to have some. My biggest craving actually is pizza...I love pizza. I might splurge and have a slice or two after refeed...but I am not sure because I don't want myself to get used to it again. That and cake...white cake with buttercream filling...YUMMY I'm a bad bad girl...maybe I could just have a couple bites though. Portion control...that is going to be the key for me.

Only two more days until I start refeed.

A couple questions if anyone can help.

First, My refeed never mentions anything about upping my cheese portions...says I can increase meat, chicken and fish...but never says anything about cheese...does this mean that I cannot increase it...I'm guessing if it's left out that means I cannot.

Also...this is very confusing...this is exactly what they say...starting on day 9:
Protein: If you feel that the additional 60 g of fish/chicken/meat is enough, you don’t have to increase the quantity anymore. Just make sure you keep eating the indicated variety
Does anyone know if this means I don't have to increase protein anymore if it is too much? I have never heard anyone else say this...ever.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Cindy

Cindy,

you don't increase cheese, yoghurt or egg - from memory.

Thanks Meagain,

You are so helpful on this site..and thank you for always checking in on me.

Have you ever heard anything on the "not upping protein more then 60g? Sounds so weird...I don't think I've heard anyone else say they had this choice.

I don't have that sentence listed at all! As far as I am aware in my program I just add everything they say to...the body will put the weight on if it is too much then I go back 2 days...I think it is better to see how much the body can handle and refeed is about giving it a gradual shock to cope with the increase in food.

If after returning to 2 days twice in the program that is when we stop - the body is saying 'this is YOUR limit of food'

I am really happy for you Cindy, I know you will be fine.. Can't wait to see you in your final photos..

At least it will be like an adventure being able to include all the foods you can have now...

Try Faithys Chowmein with the pineapple and tell me what it is like.. it is awesome without the pineapple but I bet it is even better with it.

Well done......

Hexi...I agree...I have no intension of stopping at 60 g. It doesn't make any sense to me. I'm going to pretend it isn't even an option.

The online info is such a mess sometimes...and it is so hard to not have a personal consultant. They are pretty good online...but the plan they send us is really lacking quite a bit of information.

Anyway...It is so helpful for me to be on this site...I learn so much on here.

Are you starting your refeed on Wednesday? I am trying to figure out if we are starting on the same day. My Thursday is your Wednesday I believe...that is the day I am starting. Did I already ask you how long your refeed is? Mine is 19 days.

Thanks so much Jeannie...you have been such a great support to me.

Cindy

Hi Cindy,
My consultant told me if the food you are eating is too much for you, to cut back on the "old" foods, but you have to have the "new" foods.

I cant wait to have a snitzel parma with cheese!!! YUM

Hope you have a good loss today

Hello

I START REFEED TOMORROW

I finally got a good nights sleep last night...and my TOM finally started this morning too...after being over a week late (that never happens). So all is well with my world.

I can't believe that in 20 days I will be on my new journey of life after Cohen's. Scary and Exciting all at once.

Shell...there is the place in my refeed plan that says (forgive me for writing this again):
Protein: If you feel that the additional 60 g of fish/chicken/meat is enough, you don’t have to increase the quantity anymore. Just make sure you keep eating the indicated variety

Maybe that refers to what your consultant said...if it is too much protein then just make sure to eat the new protein and I can remove some of the old. Do you think that's what they mean?

It really is a TON of extra food. I was going over my refeed again for the 100th time last night and I can't believe the amounts they say to eat. I don't believe I have ever eaten that much protein...the veg doesn't seem like it will be a problem...but the protein...wow.

I can't wait for you to get your refeed Shell so you can see what I'm talking about.

I just keep thinking that I should eat all the food that is on the refeed because I think it will make us less likely to gain in the future...seeing that our body can handle these portions. Any thoughts?

Cindy
