Part 2 of my weight loss program...
So, for the past few weeks, I've been basically sticking to the meal plan, but allowing myself to eat whatever I feel like. So, if i couldn't be bothered making my own meal, I'd have what the family were eating, generally without the carbs and also I've been eating sweets alot and drinking alcohol occassionally. So, my little "holiday" finished today, and I'm back on the plan. I'm fairly happy with the outcome of the break. I put on 1 kilo when I was in Beijing, and I've pretty much stabilised with that one kilo still on, but didn't put on any more than that, despite a few feeding frenzy's during the weeks! I think it has been very helpful for me to see that I can stabilise and not necessarily put weight on, and to see the difference in my tastes in food. Despite having the opportunity, there is no way I could eat a plate of hot chips. and most of the creamy food I used to like is not so appealing. But things like crisps, which I never used to eat are beginning to call my name and will be more of a temptation! I've reread my program this morning, and been to the clinic and done the groceries, so I have something to eat!! So, now I'm beginning the second stage of my weight loss program. I still have around 15 kilos to lose, and I'm planning to lose that in maximum of around 10-12 weeks, all being well!! I had my mmts taken this morning at the clinic and I've lost 126cm total, which I'm very happy about. My arms have had the biggest percentage of weight loss at 30%! (I have really been able to notice the difference in my arms over the past month or so.. even though I wasn't losing weight, I was still shrinking!) Everything else has reduced by between 20 and 25%. So, 60kg here I come!! Pen |

Re: Part 2 of my weight loss program...
Hi Pen
That's great news about the measurements, well done on the shrinking. Your 42 kilo loss is kinda amazing, isn't it, and taking a much needed 'breather' has no doubt refreshed you for the last lap of the race. I, too, have had an extensive 'taste restructuring' and whereas I used to eg drink sherry on a daily basis, I realised that I haven't really had any sherry since February, 2006!!! I don't mind the occasional drink, and alcohol in one form or another used to be part of the daily food and drink intake, but not anymore! I simply don't have much interest in it now. Ditto creamy cakes and confectionary, and whereas I used to eat fruit only if it was cooked I now take an apple with me every day, plus the kiwi with the yoghurt at breakfast, so that's fourteen pieces of fruit every week, a major shift in how I eat. Your whole shape and presentation at 75 kilos would be so radically different from when you weighed 117 kilos, and will change again when you reach 60 kilos. I just love being 60 kilos, but I am certainly not skinny, and neither will you be. Good luck with the Second Half, the time will fly by. Your steadiness and sensible attitude combined with your business committments, have undoubtedly encouraged others with similar business activities to do Cohens. Best wishes Kristine |

Re: Part 2 of my weight loss program...
Good for you - restarting after you've tasted the outside world is difficult - I should know, I've just restarted too after being ill and eating unsensibly for nearly a month. I feel so much better on the program though and the pay off is worth it. You should some post some before and during pics - that's a huge motivator for me. Good luck with the final leg of your journey.

Hi Heavenlylamb,
Good to have you back with us Hope is all well. Congratulations on your weight loss so far and only gaining 1kg during your time off. I bet that gives you an added confidence that when you finish the program you'll be able to maintain your goal weight for the future!! Look forward to hearing about part 2 of your journey! Re: Part 2 of my weight loss program...
Hey Penny!
I'm really pleased you've started up again! I don't think I could, if I stopped now, I'd stop. I admire the fact that you have started again, and can't wait till you're finished. I think we both have about the same amount to lose now, and we're racing to the end together!!! asy

Re: Part 2 of my weight loss program...
Hi Asy,
Well, I would say with your level of commitment, and my travel commitments over the coming weeks that you'll definitely get there before me!! But that's OK. I'm happy to be a turtle so long as I get there in the end! I wasn't confident that I could get back on, but I've been fairly good since Saturday. So, I think I can do it again!! Pen |

Re: Part 2 of my weight loss program...
Well so far so good for me on my first week back on the program.
I ate out for 5 lunches and 1 dinner, and lost 2kg in the week. Actually, I had lost 2.5kg on Thursday, but I've been a bit blocked up since then! But by Thursday, I was feeling shaky and lightheaded so I was a bit concerned. I swapped over the egg for breakfast so I could have 2 fruit servings as snacks. I feel a bit better now, but I actually don't enjoy losing weight so fast, I think. I need time to get used to the changes! The change in my body is quite noticeable after a week. When I'm standing, I have very little tummy fat now. It concertina's a bit when I sit down though!! So, really I only have fat on my upper thighs, love handles and tummy. Its strange, cause I don't have much on the outside of my hips, but just above my hips I have a little roll. It looks a bit bizarre! I've always been very "hippy", but I'm not so much any more, my hips have lost the weight faster than my waist. To be honest, I can't see another 15kg of fat on my body, so I'll have to see how I go as I go into the 60's, because I think 60kg may be an unrealistic goal. But I'm happy to be proved wrong!! So, bring on the next week and another big loss, hopefully! Pen |
