Default Anyone here?

Hi!

I lost weight in 2014 following this diet and I have gained most of the weight back recently.

I am restarting. Is there anyone else here with me?

Hi Antigone,
One or two of us pop in from time to time. Are you going again? Were you on this forum for the last Cohen path? If so, what name did you use?
If not, no worries - I am Kohinoor, and have been around here a while. If you want to start a diary, go right ahead:-

go here ---> http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8878

Keep in mind the data therein is old (i.e. we don't spend time moving Diaries any more, so your new diary will be available in "New Diaries" until you move on to Refeed and/or Maintenance.

Welcome aboard Antigone,
Koh

Wow this forum is still here. I did the program 13 years ago and had a baby and tried a few other things, had success. but can't seem to get the last 13kgs off so so hoping back now. Amazing to see some old names still here. I couldn't remember my old log in so registered again. I am using my old program as it has always worked.
Any new foods on the list? I am surprised the group hasn't moved to a FB group given the change in technology over the years.

Hi KGB,
13 years ago I may have been here then (and I tend to have pretty good recall). Tell me a little about yourself, and I might recall "who you are" and can maybe point you to your old diary(ies).

If you don't wish to disclose personal details online, send me a PM with this data and I'll see what I can do.

For those in a similar situation to KGB1, and might be also thinking of "coming back" but can't recall your earlier monicker, do the same as above. i.e. send me a PM.

I find it is GREAT value for folks to read their own old words, to relive the emotions of their earlier path, revisit the wins and to contemplate the harder parts too (and your own words from those times). It is all part of winning. Like giving up smoking, not everyone actually gets to "nail it" first time - and I've learned that the weightloss path can be a lot like that.

In my case, I did (finally) quit smoking after having been a smoker for about 40 years - and have been ciggy-free for nearly 6 years now. I also now have NO desire to go back there. But it had taken me lots of goes before I finally "got it". Are you the same with weightloss? If so, have another go - you are worth it !!!

Yep, Am back again too.
Had great success back in 2008 (12 yrs ago), starting at almost 90kg and finished refeed at 54kg in about 16 weeks from memory. I was able to keep the weight off mostly, although I allowed myself to hover between 58 and 60kg in my post Cohen life, but that was until the old lady hormones started to alter my shape and weight at the beginning of 2019. Have now gained 10kg in nearly 2 years, and I am once again aiming to finish (10kg lighter) by Xmas 2020. I kept my original program and refeed, so am going back there. I re-started 2 days ago on Monday 28/9/20.

Giving this another go as I know it works. It's been years since I fully completed the program, and with great success. But I'm not in a happy place now that menopause is on the menu.

2008 stats:
Start weight= 89.9kg (8/8 )
Final weight > refeed = 54.1kg (24/12)

Hi Ruby,
It's great to see you again too. Having a few of you "coming back" has me thinking again of a newish finding (last 3 - 4 years) that had never been noted in those years earlier.

It was all about the use of "Reset" and how (if done wrongly) it could turn your body against you. If you ever did Resets and found that things didn't always go so well with them, DO go and read this :-

http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthr...649#post447649

This learning should be posted on every Cohens member's fridge !!!

And hey, for those who don't know me, note that I am passing on something that sounds useful, but that I have never been able to verify - so run it by your consultant if you still have one. If not, take the words at face value, and check them out for yourself.
