Re: Setting Goals
Basically for me, every 10 kilos lost takes me into a new "decade" - when I started I was 138, then I reached 128 and now aiming for 118, 108, 98 etc.... so that's how I do mine
And for every 15 kilos lost, I am treating myself to a massage

Re: Setting Goals
Hi there,
I think that mini goals should be just that...mini. 10kg is a lot of weight and can take a decent amount of time to achieve. If your goals are smaller then you will achieve them a lot faster, and that in turn will give you a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment which will spur you on. Those 10kg goals are a great idea as well and are a great achievement, but I think they are a little more like milestones than mini goals. When it comes time to set my goals I will try and keep them to 5kg incraments. Of course the 10kg ones will be in there, but so will getting below those stub urn weights that were always so difficult to crack. You know the ones from past diets where you just couldn't seem to get under or past a certain weight. Think of the times in your life that were important to you and the weight you were then and put those down as goals. In the end you need to do what works for you. All the best and happy goal setting |

Re: Setting Goals
I have 10% goals. It's a fairly big goal but it means I'm in for a bigger prize when I reach it lol. And my husband's totally on board too which helps. So every time I lose 10% of my body weight, I get to buy something.
I think having smaller ones is good too though - like AE said, every 5kgs treat yourself. But also some of us, it takes us a heck of a long time to lose even 5kgs so even having 4 weeks deviation free should warrant a good prize yeah? The only thing then is thinking about the treat. Could include getting nails done, getting your hair done, facial, going bowling, getting new clothes, etc. I have a "skinny account" so money gets chucked in there every week towards buying new clothes when I've finished the Cohen's diet. Hubby chucks some money in too which is pretty sweet .
