I DID IT... I DID IT....I DID IT!!!!!

I cannot believe it!! As I have been saying to the last few weeks I only had until the now to get my weight below 66kg so I could order my personalised re-feeding program... I wasn't sure I could do it... but as of this morning I am down to 65.8 kilos!!!! I am actually a little in shock to be completely honest... when I started out on this journey I thought the goal weight range set by Dr Cohen (60-63kg) was absolutely insane!! I was sure I would be finished and totally starving when I got to 75-80 kilos... how wrong I was!! Week after week the kilos kept coming off and now after 12 months and 59.3 kilos lighter I am at the lowest weight I can EVER remember being EVER!!

Looking forward to starting the re-feeding part of the program soon!

For anyone reading this who is considering this program or those who are just starting their journey... YOU CAN DO IT!! I am proof that this program works, if you stick to the "golden rules" you can not go wrong... I was skeptical myself in the beginning but now I truly cannot sing the praises of Dr Cohen's Lifestyle Program highly enough! This really is an AMAAAZING program!!!

Thanks so much Tes!

It has been a long road but a road worth travelling! I cannot believe I used to carry a whole person around everyday... I find it hard to wrap my head around how far I have come at times...

I am a little nervous about re-feed but so excited at the same time... hoping I can maintain all this hard work... only time will tell I guess hahaha!

Thanks so much Kathy!!

I am looking forward to re-feed although I got the basic instructions to read through the other day and it is a little daunting... after all this time getting to know what is allowed and the weights now it is all going to change!! Bring it on though I say!!

I have an appointment with my consultant on Monday arvo to receive my RF plan so will be starting a RF Diary soon!

Hope everyone has an amazing & deviation free day!!

Thanks Dianna!!

I picked up my refeed program yesterday so will be starting a RF diary today!! Let me just say it is a little confusing at this stage... adding old protein, old veg, new protein, new veg.... ahhhh!! Looking forward to trying bread tomorrow though!!

Hi Allie

Congrats! I'm also on refeed but opted not to eat bread, but to stay on crackers. How are you doing? Also losing a bit more?

Default Re: My journey is almost done! Love this AMAZING program!

I've decided to start updating this diary again instead of my 'maintenance' diary... seeing as though I have done a pretty crap job at maintaining it seems fitting that I am back in here as I am back on plan!!

Kicking off officially today, 1st day of the month = 1st day back on plan (again... this is probably the 100th restart this year!)

I feel like such a fraud at the moment... the cohens.com.au website has posted my 'success story' and to be honest at this point I am not feeling like a success... I have really let myself down and now have almost 17 kilos to get rid of... I know this program works, I have seen it & felt it first hand but I just can't seem to get my head in the right zone to stick to it!

But I am feeling more positive today, I was trying to find something to wear last night and a very familiar old feeling came sweeping over me... everything I tried on made me look & feel fat & frumpy... I am still over 40 kilos lighter than I was when I first started my Cohen's journey but nothing looked right!! If that is not the BIG kick in the butt I needed to get back to 100% Cohen's then I don't know what is!

So here goes nothing.....!!

Welcome back Allie,

You'll get there, don't beat yourself up, you were on the EP for such a long time, I think it's not surprising the pendulum is swinging the other way for a bit. Damn sugar, gets to everyone eventually.

17kg isn't that much to loose (12 weeks tops). You will do it, I believe in you.

You're now back to your healthy lifestyle and those kilos will go away for good. You've got this.

Allie,

Weight loss is as much a psychological process as physical process - if not more! After all, the body is designed to naturally lose weight (all things being balanced) but the mind needs to relearn all new behaviours which have been formed over decades of life.

You're not a fraud and you're not a failure. You're learning (as we all are).

Thanks for your words of encouragement Donzie, Heidimama & Jem, it really does help.

So sadly my weekend was not that great, not a total write off but not 100% on plan either. It was my sons 6th birthday so was cooking party food & birthday cake (tasting things as I went) but today is back to 100% and I am feeling good.

I totally agree with you Jem, weight loss is definitely a psychological process... and a life long battle that I know I am going to have... but I am prepared to fight! Fight to be a better me, a better mum and a much healthier person.

I heard somewhere on a documentary or current affairs program that the one of the reasons so many people struggle with sugar addiction is because our bodies/brains haven't evolved enough yet. Back in the caveman days when sugar was not readily available our bodies were designed to want to eat as much of it as we could when it was there (fruit/berries etc) and now that sugar is all around us our bodies still have that same trigger to crave it when it is available which is ALL the time... we need to somehow evolve to have a switch that cuts off the craving when we have had as much sugar as we need. Makes sense to me, I just wish evolution would hurry up hahaha

Hope everyone is have a great week so far!

Allie

So true! We are so fortunate to have so much food readily available for our consumption. However, it appears our biology isn't yet compatible with the manufacturing processes or macronutrient contents of all those foods.

Hi Allie! Wow wow wow! I just looked at your transformation pics and it is AHHHmazing! And yes, gaining back a bit of weight always sucks, but the most important part is that you are BACk and are taking accountability for what you know you have to do.

Cohen's EP is just the beginning. We all have to figure out how we can successfully incorporate it into our lifestyles! The fact that you recognized your need to get back on is the first step! You're such an inspiration!

Looking forward to joining you on your journey...
