Exclamation Type 2 Diabetes

Hi there
I am a newie to Type 2 diabetes and to Cohens.
I am not on any medication and my GP is happy for me to do Cohens.
From this great forum i know there are fellow type 2 peeps and just wondered if you'd had any problems highs and lows etc.
My GP advised it is important to get my weight down and if i can do that without medication that would be a bonus.

It has given me a fright knowing what can happen to you.
I will not deviate from the program .

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes right whwn I was about to start Cohens. They discovered it during my initial blood test. You're lucky that u still managed to get the program right away. My cohens consultant told me that i had to get medicated to lower my sugar and try applying to cohen again once my sugar was better. Now im off meds and feeling better than ever. I dont think the diabetes slowed my weight loss in any way, compared to others who had similar stats to me. good luck

yes i was lucky . Because im not medicated i was lucky.I also had an agreement with my GP that i would get my weight down and have another check in 3 mths.He was happy and happy with the program i was on.
After my initial blood tests it did show high sugar levels and Dr Cohen suggested that my dr keep an eye on it. It was only after the glucose test my GP sent me for Type 2 was diognosed.
Already after 21 days i feel so much healthier. Not so tired.
Wishing you good luck too.

I would think you could still have success with weight loss. You may just have to be more diligent with watching your calorie intake vs your calories used. You can find a lot of good programs for smart phones out there to help you keep track of that.
