Lemon Grass
 I asked my clinic over here in Manila if I was allowed lemon grass and they said that I'm not. BUT going through the recipes, I saw a few posts with lemon grass in the ingredients. I'm confused.  Have the rules changed or was I misinformed? I really love the flavor of lemon grass so I'm really hoping I can have it.TeacupPig

I bought a curry powder from my clinic here in Brisbane, and it had lemongrass in it. So I'd guess yes it is allowed unless the rules have changed? Someone much more knowledgeable will answer I'm sure

Oh I guess it's okay then. Lemon grass is an herb after all. I'll let my clinic know it's allowed over there so maybe they can re-check. We're already so limited with ingredients we can use so lemon grass would be a great plus for me. Thanks Kirst!

I have a recipe for a cancer fighting drink (apparently) and it says to put a stalk of lemon grass in hot water and drink it throughout the day. I wonder if we can do this on Cohens? So what we get is really a lemongrass infused water.

I think this would be okay - lemongrass is allowed> I do similar with fresh mint. Although we still should drink our water as well. Shanara

Thanks for all the replies everyone! Really glad I can have lemon grass.
I should probably inform my clinic about it though. We don't want to be further deprived of flavorings that we're actually allowed.Hi Joyjoy! I started about 3 and a half weeks ago. This diet is amazing isn't it? Wow...is she in Manila?

Hi DP,
That's a hard question to answer. I wouldn't have only lemongrass water - still have water but don't drink double the amount - it is still fluid going through your kidneys. Shanara

My mum has been over here for 30 years but she goes back to visit now and then - she was a nun in the convent for 20 years til she met my dad and she moved over here. She is from Iloilo. Her family owns Sugarland Hotel in Bacolod. I have been doing this diet since June 30 and lost exactly 10 kilograms up til today. How are you going with it? I find it is very easy to follow and i am not feeling deprived of any foods. I feel healthier than i have for a very long time. Talk soon !!
