Hello from Cairns Australia
I'm Sandi from Cairns and started on 25 June 13, for the second time. So am coming up to weeks six of my eating plan. Am not losing as quickly the second time and am putting down to being older and not having as much HGH being released.... Anyone else finding the same...anyway stumbled across this site the other day from a user from the Aust forum site .....have already found this site helpful with recipes ....some yummy ones here. The last time of doing cohens I was very boring and just did salads, however this time am enjoying the recipes and the larger portion sizes than last time. Anyway would love to here from you all... Regards Sandi |

Re: Hello from Cairns Australia
I am almost in the same boat as you Sandi.
2nd time around (had a million false starts) started on 15 June. My losses have been slower, but two weeks into being on plan I started weight training at the gym three times a week, and my losses really slowed. I have just had a week off from the gym (walking instead of weights) and have had a more successful loss - the gym was the only thing I was really doing differently this time around. It will take me longer (especially with a month of slow losses at the beginning), but I am not too worried - my goal is to get it done, do refeed, and babystep into maintenance, rather than be in Maintenance by a certain date (I had wanted to be by the end of October), now I am just going to go with the flow. Hope you are enjoying being in the zone! Edited to add: My ticker is a fibber, I have only lost about 7.4kg since starting back - but hey - that is way better than still being 7kg heavier! |

Hi Sandi!
Welcome to the forum! Are you using your old plan, or a new one? I noticed you said bigger portions, which may mean you got a new plan? If you have less to lose this time, your losses will be smaller. 1 kilo a week is still a great weight loss rate!!

Hi All
Thanks for the welcome messages and words of encouragement. Yes, I have a new plan this time round my old plan was from about 15 yrs ago. Initially I expected to lose about 2.5kgs a week as I did the first time, but now am just going with the flow, also I was eating really healthy for about 3 months before cohens as I cut out all sugar and cut carbs and drinking 2 ltrs of water ( and lost over 10kgs before starting) so I knew my initial lose was not going to be big in the first week. The thing that is doing my head in is I do not have the increased energy, so I felt like I was hounding the Dr for about a fortnight as I felt something was wrong, and low and behold the chest infection I got 3 days after cohens turned out to be legionaries so again just need to go with the flow. I am loving this site as its much more active than the cohens website......is there anyone in my area, Cairns as would love to get a get together going. Anyway thanks for reading my ramblings....after all we have to vent somewhere. Cheers, Sandi |
