New to the programme
I'm Jothii here. First i would like to thank SMS for introducing me to Dr. Cohen's programme. Before i started Dr. Cohen's programme my weight was 73kg. I've been in the programme almost coming to a month and have lost 5kg. My ideal weight is 54kg.....a long way to go. Trying my very best.....to stick to the programme. Hey Jothii, welcome aboard! Get ready for the ride of your life! Have a read of the stickies in this forum and set yourself up a ticker and apply for a diary to help keep yourself accountable. We will try to keep you on the straight & narrow. Deviation free is the easiest was to do the programme. Spend some time looking around and make yourself at home! You will find plenty of motivation here all hours of the day & night!

Hi Jothii well done on your progress so far, 5kg is awesome! I started at about the same weight as you and am exactly 3 weeks in today so we are not to far off each other!

I'm sure you can find plentry of reasons why are you doing Cohen's - beauty, health, vanity - just look into yourself and you'll find them. Set yourself small achievable goals for your journey - that way you most likely will keep your motivation stable. Good luck! |

Hi Jothii, nice to meet you! A lot of members talk about cheese and how it can slow down weight loss, so not to have it more than 3 times a week as recommended in the plan.
So maybe you should change breakfast each day with your two other options. It's all a bit confusing and takes some getting used to doesn't it? Good luck. |

Hi Jothi & welcome - I think our program says to limit cheese to 3 times per week. I am 1 of those who, in spite of my love of cheese, has chosen not to have it as I found I gained weight (overnight) the couple of times I had it, altho by the end of the week it had gone again. On the up side tho, I don't have any problems with the cottage / ricotta cheese.
I don't seem to have any problem with the yoghurt or eggs for breakfast tho. Hope that helps |

Hey Jothi, in my case, my periods went back to NORMAL within 2 weeks of starting this diet. BUT I had this issue (4 weeks constant menses) about 3 years ago (ie, nothing to do with Cohens, but a lot to do with age - was in late 40's, possibly pre-menopausal). I went to the gynae had a full check up, all OK. Would recommend strongly you go see your gynae.
