Default Last blood test- how long have you got to do re-feed?

Hi All,
Just wondering after your last blood test, how long is that test valid to order your re-feed?
One of the ladies at the clinic (not the owner) thought 10 days?
I thought 6 weeks?
Thanks
Shell

HI Shell...

My consultant said that she makes everyone get another blood test just before ordering refeed unless its just after their last test.

I am getting my last blood test done on the 17th or 18th and picking my refeed up on the 27th. (to make sure the results are through etc because of Easter)....

I wish I was waiting til later... but cant be helped now.... Cant wait to see you get to Goal!!!

Blessya

Default Once my refeed arrives, how soon must I start it?

Hey everyone!

Visitors to my diary have been encouraging me to think about ordering my refeed now. I'm currently 55.6kg. My Cohens goal weight range is 53-55kg and I think I'd like to get down to at least 54kg before starting refeed.

If I order refeed now, it's likely to come in by the middle or later part of next week. How long can I wait - from the time it arrives - before starting? Does a refeed programme have an "expiry date"?

I've read different things on this forum - some say 2 weeks, I think others say 6 weeks, so if anyone knows, please share the information!

Hi Francesca,
Have you asked you clinic?
I was advised by my clinic to get another blood test, then they ordered my re feed- from then I was told I had 2 weeks to start.
But by reading on here, a lot of clinics have different "rules" which can be a bit confusing??

How exciting that you are so close!!

Good advice from shell, as always. Your clinic will tell you the rules they go by. My consultant took a look at me after my last blood test and announced that I wouldn't last to the next blood test eight weeks later and ordered immediately. I think that I could have started any time up to my next blood test.

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.
What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/
Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Hi AJ and Shell

I spoke to my consultant and we decided to get the process started. I'll do my blood test on Sat which will allow her to order my refeed on Monday. She says I can start it anytime within four weeks of receiving it.

Thanks for your advice!

I just received my refeed yesterday and I thought it important to note for those who are getting close to ordering their refeed that it does state in the program that you have to be deviation free for a minimum of 7-10 days before starting the refeed in order for it to work.

So if you are getting close to starting you would want to make sure that you are 100% so that all of the hard work is rewarded.

My refeed does not make any mention of when I have to start - unlike the first part of the program but within 4 weeks of receiving it does make sense.

Have Fun !

Hi

I emailed my clinic re this very same question plus a few more.

I got the reply that I had to be DF for 14 days. And to start my refeed within 6 weeks of receiving it. Makes no sense that each clinic has it's own rules! I do tend to believe in the forum more than my clinic. There is such a wealth of info on here if you go looking for it.
