Talking Christmas challenge

Hi all
I am a newbie here. I was looking for some added motivation to get me through the silly season, and was disappointed to see that there werent any challenges currently open. So for those of use who have dipped out, I am throwing down the gauntlet! Starting this Sunday 23 Nov, 7.5kgs before Christmas! Ending date Dec 24. Then, for those die hard Cohens fans who want to continue, 10kg by 6 Jan

I will also be bold and ask for an entry fee. Clean out your pantry and donate any non perishable food stuffs to charity- Smith Family, Salvos etc, to make the life of someone less fortunate a little brighter for Christmas. Alternately, donate a Christmas pressie to the KMart Christmas Tree. Lots of charities need help at this time of year.

If you post your reply with your starting weight and the name of your charity on Sunday, you can edit your reply weekly showing how you are going!

I hope there are lots of you out there that will join me!

Princess Sunbeam, I think most people are involved in the 2 week 100% Challenge and also the 10kg in 6 week's Challenge. You are welcome to join the next 2 week challenge which starts next Friday if you are keen?

Sure I am keen, but I read the thread on the 6 week challenge and it sounds like at least 4 people were turned away. Well, see what happens!

Well here I am, bright and early on a Sunday morning all set to go. I have just weighed myself and am 78.8kgs. On Friday, I emptied out my pantry and took 3 larges boxes to the Salvation Army. I will join the next 2 week challenge, but still want to challenge myself to lose 7.5kgs before Christmas. I hope someone will join me!

Hi Maria, Joroma & Ronky! I am glad I am not in this alone! THanks for joining me. I hope we make pick up a few more people along the way!

Ronky- amazing, we are exactly the same weight! My next goal is to crack 30 BMI! How tall are you and how much have you lost?

Good luck girls. Maria & Joroma- I cant wait to hear that you are under 100kg! When I cracked 100, I think the whole neighbourhood heard the shreaks of excitement coming from my bathroom!

This time of year has many opportunities to stray, so hopefully we will be able to keep tabs on each other and keep each other on the straight and narrow! Looking forward to a sensational week, and being even slimmer next Sunday!

Regards
Jenny

OK, it has been a week. Jumped on the scales and am still the same as I was on Friday- 78kgs on the nose. That makes a loss of 1.2kgs for this week. Looking forward to hearing everyone else's results!

Thumbs up A week has gone by

Good morning ladies,
How is everyone's weight going???
My entry fee has been donated to Kmart Christmas tree, so now I am definitely in.......
Today the scales cracked 102.1 for me, so that means a loss of 1.3 for the week.
I agree with maria1969 that I definitely want to be below 100kg by Christmas
Hey princess_sunbeam we could also put in our measurement loss & see how many cms we lose, what do you think, would make things more interesting???
Regards
Joroma

Default 10kg Before 6th January.

Now I haveto take this challenge also why stop at 7.5kg before christmas? Says me who is tad worried has I haveto overcome christmas and camping away with friends who I havent seen in a while.

Strategy - LOL Plan Plan Plan...

Anyow weighed in yesterday and was 103.5kg so that makes it a loss of 2.5kg (Alls fine ATM but I have just started the programme and feel Im at an advantage...)
Good on you Joroma we are both going to be 2figure chicks soon....
Princess Sunbeam great loss...

Everyone lets do it and be FOXY ladies for christmas... Well foxier!!!! LOL

Hey thought for the day. 7.5kgs before Christmas means we have lost 15 tubs of 500gm butters... YUK!!! Thats fat ladies (and men.) that we dont need.

Why not Joroma! I just need to dig out my tape measure. So are we going to do one total for arms, bust, waist, thighs?
Cheers

Hi PS,

How funny we are just the same. Im 1.65 tall and have lost 20.9 so far. I am 32.1 down from the largest I have ever been. You must be a little shorter than me? I have a fairly muscular build from taking steroids as a child so my consultant doesnt think I will be able to get to the 63 mark. We will see how I go.

I am 77.9 for this week. .9 down.

Have a good week everyone.

Sure coolcat, why not! The more the merrier! Ronky, I am 160cm tall. I have lost 37.5kgs so far, with about 20-22kgs more to go. I did alot of gym work and played sport growing up, so I am probably naturally more muscular than your average couch potato. I remember losing weight on Jenny Craig some years ago, (when I felt obese at 66kgs!)and got to 60kgs and felt anorexic, but I was doing weights/gym work then, so we will see. My goal is around 56-58kgs. I dont think I have been that small since uni days!

Joroma, I think we go total measurement of one arm, one thigh, waist & bust. The largest measurement in each spot of course

Well we are all weighed in for this week and the results so far are:
Joroma-1.3kgs
Ronky- -.9kg
maria1969yellow- 2.5kgs
princess_sunbeam (Jen to my friends!) 1.2kgs
samnich01- -1kg

That makes the winner of the yellow jersey for this week.........

maria1969yellow !!!!!

Congratulations on a huge effort ladies- between us in one week we have lost 6.9kgs!! That is more than a large bag of cat biscuits! (Couldnt think of anything else that weighed that much from the supermarket!! )
