Smile First weekend on Cohens

Hi everyone

So I decided to start my program on Good Friday so I could be home to get everything ready!

Well it's day3 now and I can't believe how it has gone! I have had no headaches and best of all no hunger! I would describe the feeling as empty not hungry... As in I could eat more but I don't have to! I'm even getting to my next meal without being starving! I really didn't think it would be this easy!
The hardest part is not deviating! I bought my kids hot chips and even though my mouth was salivating I resisted .... It taught me that in the past I would have had some 'just because' and not because I was hungry....

The hardest thing has been giving up skim milk in my coffee.... But I keep telling myself its not forever!

This forum has been great and I will keep u all posted!

Welcome Mimij...incredible how the balanced food plan we're given fills us up hey...it's like a miracle! It's so good when detox doesn't attack lol...I didn't suffer detox either.

Welcome to the forum! Enjoy

Hi Mimi, I found it amazing at the start to see how little food (but the right foods in the right quantities) we need to function well and feel good. And this is most apparent at the start when it's compared so closely to the amounts I was eating!
Good luck and stay deviation free!!

I also missed milk in my coffee and often used to drink massive cuppuccinos with a truckload of milk every morning! I am quite happy with my short blacks now! haha

Yay for no detox!

I know exactly what you mean about eating food just because! It's quite funny to witness yourself salivating over something and then being like 'oh wait, I'm actually not even hungry' haha

I look forward to watching that ticker of yours go down!!

Thanks for all the support guys!

I'm still in awe at the fact that I'm not getting hungry... I don't get it!
This morning I had 1 boiled egg with 2 vita weat and sautéed zucchini and onion on the side... Cause of work I only got around to lunch at 2.30.... A week ago I would have eaten my arm off but I was fine... Ready to eat but not shaking and starving! Feels great to b in control!

Am loving getting creative with my good ... Tried "garlic bread" last night... Yummo!

Looking forward to updating my ticker soon!

Oh yay for you! I'm having my blood test on sat, can't wait for my plan! I'm so happy to hear you're not hungry! And your breakfast sounds like what I'll be eating most of the time! I currently have 2 eggs with diced shallot, green caps and steamed asparagus... So not much different to what I'll be eating on cohens (minus 1 egg tho, but having crackers perhaps!)
Look forward to sharing this journey with you!

Good luck "making memories"... I was rely scared before I started because I really don't like being hungry.... I nearly fell off my chair the first time I weighed my veggies .... But seriously it must be doing something because I feel content after every meal.

Hehe when I did the sure slim plan, I was only 22 when I started, living at home I had never weighed veg before! I was allowed 135g veg for dinner and thought wow that's so much! Weighed a zucchini and I could only have half of it for my allowance! I sat on the kitchen floor and started crying! Lol. Yep I laugh about it now lol. But I'm sure ill have the same breakdown when I see my plan cos I have heard it could be less than that! I was always brought up thinking veg were unlimited! I'm glad to hear you are content with your meals!

Welcome Mimij

Loving the whole not feeling hungry thing too! Stay strong no matter how good it smells. I've found so far that now I am not eating all the sweet and sugary things that food just SMELLS so much better.

And thank goodness Easter is over - not so many temptations to try and make you fall off the wagon.

Stay strong and deviation free!
