coffee limits
The coffee limit is only 3 per day and I was wondering if anyone knows the reason for this ? Somedays I really crave a 4th cup of coffee (black of course), ecspecially if I've been up since 5:00am in the morning and need to make a long drive. I have been drinking green tea also, which is supposed to be great for weight loss. But green tea doesn't seem to give the same satisfaction. I never drink black coffee after 3:00pm though, because I would probably not sleep at night. Kelly |

Hi Kelly,
Not sure why you are limmited to 3 cups? I am only allowed decafe coffee, but as much as i like as long as i only have 5 sweeteners a day. I guess it has something to do with your blood work n the effect coffee has on you. I know they say that coffee is an appetite supresant, it could be a range of things, ask the clinic if you have one to go to or speak to. How do you go with black coffee? I didnt think i would ever get used to it but now the smell of white coffee makes me turn green. |

I think it has something to do with caffiene. Too much can trigger hunger.

Okay folks, if you read your booklet it states that if you have more than 3 coffees per day, then decaf is recommended but as we can only have 5 sweeteners per day this pretty much limits your cups if you have coffee and sweeteners. Caffeine is known to stimulate hunger, hence the 3 caffeinated cup limit. While on the programme I would have my first cup of the day as caffeinated and then after that they would all be decaf. Worked well for me.
