Default The Daily Lounge ... how are you today?

I thought a general daily discussion topic would be good for people to come in and chat, take a seat, sip a coens approved beverage and tell us how your'e doing today!

Thoughts encouragments and positiveness-ness all welcome!

I suppose I had better respond to my own post

Today has been a tough day for me. Im going through a rough patch getting my depression controlled again on meds so its a bit of a rollercoastr....which in turns makes me want to curl up and at anything noncohens and find comfort....Im holding strong, but the emotional battle is the hardest part of the plan for me....far harder than 5 hours between meals and weighing foods.

Well tommorrow will be a better day! AND we will all be a little bit lighter!

Keep that good attitude Pink you are going about it the right way. We all have bad days and like the saying goes Cowgirl up and make the best of it.
I know when it gets cold here with shorter days of sunlight in a few months I will have a tuff time. Not really interested in heading outside when it is way below zero without a wind chill much less with.
All and all I feel pretty good. Ran out of yoghurt so this am had to have a egg. Had it with a soft yoke and used my crackers with it. Almost like a peice of toast but not quite. The problem with that though is then I have to find some vegi's I can handle in the am. Haven't had em yet just can't bring myself to eat vegi's for breakfast. Don't like mushrooms and onions so can't do those. I don't know if this will work but plan to have them as a snack later when I get moving around a little more.
That said have a good Cohen's day everyone.

Hey Pink, I feel for you, I know exactly what you're talking about! I'm a self-confessed emotional eater and sometimes it drives you crazy. When I've had a long day full of stress and emotional stuff, I just want to grab anything and eat. But, with Cohen there's always light at the end of the tunnel. Just think how good you will feel when you go to bed tonight and KNOW that you haven't cheated and you will get up tomorrow morning an even lighter person, even if it's just a few grams.

Hang in there, I hope when you wake up things will look better for you.

Oh, and I think your idea of "The Daily Lounge" is a fantastic one. I'll definitely be looking in regularly, even though I know that you all will be asleep while I'm talking away...

Hi everyone

Great thread pink sultana. I don't want to write a diary, because I'm hopeless at maintaining one. Today I felt like eating non cohens food. I'm into my 4th week and for some reason I am soooooo hungry. I've been drinking 4L of water, eating everything I'm suppose to be eating. I don't know if it has anything to do with the winter weather. I am constantly battling the emotional side of the program and find it very tiring, but this is my only key to freedom from fat. I have no choice! So it's head down and buttocks up and one hour at a time. Gosh the 5 hour thing can drag on sometimes.....An hour before meal time I'm ready to swallow my meal...lol

Great idea, this thread!

We started a 'daily lounge' type thread when the forum first started, but there were only a very few of us here, so we abandoned it. Now that there are so many people, it's great, once it catches on, everyone will come in and shout HI! just so we can all keep track.

I had the same challenges as you to begin with. I keep a diary but only post in it when I feel the need. I'm not the daily type of girl! If you struggle between meals try swapping meal 1 and meal 3 around - that has worked the best for me. I'm less tempted to cheat this way cos I'm only really hungry at the 5hr mark and over.

Take one meal at a time and spread your fruit and crackers out during the day - keep them for snacks not meals - that should help with the blood sugar levels and moods. Make sure you take your vitamins cos that will also help with your emotions and moods.

If I'm telling you how to suck eggs - just ignore me but I found these things to be my saving grace.

Good luck and keep on keeping on.

Thanks ecogirl for your welcomed advice. I am going to space my crackers and fruit as snacks. I tried it this morning and feel heaps better and I'm not hungry anymore. I like the idea of swapping the meals around too. I've gone back to Menu Planner Week 1 and just sticking with that this week.

I try to do the same as Ecogirl and save my fruit and crackers for in between meals and not with. I haven't swaped meals 1 and 3 yet. As I get hungier later in the afternoon.

Last night I was really hungry and with nothing else to eat so I just started chuggin water. It worked and I woke up with a 1/2 lb off. Not a lot but better than nothing. Was up a little more p---ing but oh well I didn't cheat.
