The damage from my travels/parties etc
Week 1 - cruise to New Caledonia - buffet breakfast and dinners and 5 course evening meals (generally I skipped 1-2 of the courses!) Week 2 - work trip to europe - airplane and lounge food, alcohol and buffet lunches and dinners Week 3 - at home on holidays, including 3 big parties on one weekend.... lots of finger food and dessert Week 4 - recovering from the previous 3 weeks, lots of chocolate and and trying to wean myself off all the sugar! So, after 4 weeks, I'm 4kg heavier than a month ago. I did spike up higher than that, but do find that long distance flights are a great way to add a couple of kgs. I also did have a few days in between the trips where I ate better and dropped off some of the water retention. But yesterday, I started back full time on the program again, to get rid of that 4kg, and hopefully a few more than that. I have a fairly clear period of time, so I should be able to get things back under control. It should only take 1-1 1/2 weeks to get rid of the 4kg, and then i'd like to get down to under 70kg. I'm certainly still not able to cope with situations where food is available "on tap", and I suspect that I'm just going to need to be vigilant for the rest of my life to only eat badly for a few days. When I did refeed, it was after Day 5 that I started putting on weight. and again on the cruise, on the 5th day, I felt like my body just packed it in. I think I could probably eat badly for a day or two without it having much impact, but eating rubbish for too many days in a row just sends my body into a spin. But I'm not prepared to wear my clothes too tight, or to buy new clothes, so i'm back on the wagon and will get this under control again. Its a bit easier when its getting warmer though. Apart from the food, I had a great cruise, and a great work trip to Europe and lots of fun at all the parties we had. So, I hit the big 40, and got my eternity ring and also had my engagement ring remodelled. We also bought some art work on the cruise, which I'm looking forward to getting up on the walls! Oh, the other thing that happened was my computer packed it in, so I only have limited computer access now. So, checking in less to the forum. After spending so much money the last few weeks, i need to wait until I get paid to get the computer fixed!! Pen |

Re: The damage from my travels/parties etc
Hi HL, Good to have you back. Sounds like you had a hoot. For me, your photos tell the story, and, in the latest you are looking SO GOOD !!! Good for you in getting "back on the wagon" - can't be a bad idea after such a junket But I'm glad you enjoyed it. Welcome back, K

Re: The damage from my travels/parties etc
I know your story as mine is very similar.
I had two great months on the cohens when I started, losing 25 kilos in 2 months. Then business trip after business trip kicked in. In the past 6 weeks I have put on 7 kilos. Back on today and hoping to lose it quiclkly again so as I am below where I was 6 weeks ago in 3 weeks. Good luck to you. It is a lot harder for us as we done have the luxury to have scales on our business trips.
