Would you have a Tummy Tuck ????
I would love to have one but I on the other hand don't want to have one. I have to me the worst "apron" and I have had this for 21yrs. My first child was born 21yrs ago and I had a C section. Since then I have had 2 more children (naturally) and my weight has fluctuated. I spose it is a decision that I will have to make after I have reached goal and maintained my weight for sometime. Has anyone had the same thoughts as me ?? Has anyone done anything about it ?? Has anyone done it ?? Let me know your thoughts on this.

Re: Would you have a Tummy Tuck ????
Hi HarleyGirl,
I am in a similar position to you - bad stomach apron. I would consider a tummy tuck (and arm surgery) if my skin is still bad after 12-24 months on maintenance. I would have to consider the risks and the costs first. But it is something I would do to finish off my transformation. When I have mentioned it to other people, reactions are largely supportive, with - you have come so far, you should be comfortable in your own skin. I would need to prove to myself that I could maintain for at least 18 months prior to surgery though. That also gives my body time to do any healing that it is able to do. It is a personal choice. You will know if it is right for you. Cheers Butterfly |

Re: Would you have a Tummy Tuck ????
Hi harley Girl,
Well i finished Cohens in September and had a tummy tuck in November. I had 3 c sections and my eldest is 18 and youngest 14. i had a apron of skin that just sat there, i have before and after shots that make me smile from ear to ear. I always new i wanted one but could never do it till i was a normal weight. ( i lost 23kg) The result is amazing, the pain and discomfort are worth it for the result, i was positive about it from the moment i decided, to when i saw my Dr at 6 weks post op and still am now nearly 12 weeks post op. its inspiration to never let myself get overweight again. Hope this helps

Re: Would you have a Tummy Tuck ????
When I get to my goal, I will really consider it. My problem is, I don't scar too well and it will come down to - hmm saggy skin or scarring (puffy and hideous). I broke my leg 14 years ago and the scarring is still very noticeable.
