Hi Fee,

Isn't it nice when a "miracle" happens, and you were able to conceive after all !!

In fact, it would be WAY beyond "nice" wouldn't it? More like awesome....

Welcome back to Cohens and we'll be around to support you and your partner on your journeys.
Koh

PS I moved this thread into a more appropriate area..... Do check out "New Diaries" and all of the procedures around starting a Diary (I assume you are wanting to do that....)

Hi Feej, welcome to you and your partner. Congratulations to you both on the birth of your baby. The good doctor did that to me too! The first time I tried Cohens I only got four weeks into the, program when I found I was pregnant - at 41 years of age too!

Congratulations also on committing yourselves to an amazing program that will change your lives if you're prepared to stay true to it.

Have fun

No worries, Feej - perhaps the following link will help you to gain a bit of understanding. (Just click on this underlined thingy, and it will transport you there )

Are you finding it hard to navigate this site? Try this....

Actually, I am glad you made that comment, and that I remembered that thread as, we have recently revamped the website, so some of the data in there needs an update now. Still, it may help you get the gist of things....

Evening everyone..

I have a question for everyone, I hve been on cohens 8 wks and doing well but I am loosing more CM's the actual weight although I have dropped 10kg I have lost over 40cms and wondering if anyone else feels that the weight isnt shifting in numbers but only in cm's... my worry is that dr cohen only does your refeed when your in your weight range but if numbers arent getting there how will you ever refeed??

a little help would be good

cheers fee

Hey Feej. If you read around a few diaries you'll see that we all seem to experience periods when our weight drops but our cm don't, then we lose cm but not kilos. The cycle continues monthly which is why we are recommended not to weigh too frequently. Don't fret about the refeed process - its based on your blood tests in addition to the weight loss - and it seems to work magically and you'll be fine.

Trust in the good doctor! And try not to over analyse things

Thanks Dezzy,

I was just concerned that if weight wasnt dropping only cms that youd never make it a refeed and because you can only recontract another 2 times that youd never actually come off cohens because youd never do the actual refeed.

but thanks for the advise I will read a few diaries..

cheers fee

Feej, the weight will eventually catch up with the CM losses too, they don't ever seem to occur simultaneously. I think there's a very good reason for that and I imagine it has some sort of complicated scientific answer.

Given the fact that you are actually down 10kg in 8 weeks is really not a bad result. If we were on wight watchers, you'd be thinking what a legend you are.

We all lose at different rates on this program, we all want to be the fastest loser, as opposed to the biggest loser, but really, we aren't the ones who are in control here, it's our body that's the boss. Treat it with respect, kindness, stick to the program 100% (ALL the time), comply with all the little seemingly insignificant rules and you simply can't go wrong.

I agree with Dezzy, don't over analyse, it does your head in. It's just a matter of keeping on keeping on!!!

hey Fee,
It is impossible to lose all cms without the scales catching up eventually.
Just hang in there and you'll have an all of a sudden major drop!
And hey, 10 kilos aren't bad at all!!

Don't forget to participate on the poll "how much weight did you lose after 4 (8',12) weeks
