Default Begone Excess Weight!

Hi all, thought I'd pop in after the general lurking and say G'day! Yes I'm an Aussie girl, um... a big Aussie girl, well not really a girl anymore, I'm 40!!! With two teenage boys who live with my ex 1st husband but I nowhave two lovely toddler children, girl 3 and boy 18 months, and my dear second husband and 6 year old pussycat. I'm sitting at 106kg and our summer is around the corner and I reeaally don't want to spend another summer overheated and uncomfortable and feeling like my body is literally boiling in the heat. According to Cohens I need to lose 40 kilos. Wow!!! I'm hoping I'm at least half of that by Christmas.

So... hello to everyone and I look forward to getting to know you all during this weight-loss journey of mine.

I'll even start a diary too. That should help keep me accountable. I hope :P

Hi Magenta,

I can totally relate to not wanting to feel hot, bothered and over-heated! I have been on the program for two weeks now and I still have to lose about the same amount as you (38kgs to go). I hope that with the kiddies you don't find it too diffiicult. Good luck - I'm looking forward to sharing a similar journey with you.

Julz

Thanks Krissy. We had my mother-in-laws funeral today and I managed to say no to everything that was on offer at the wake, even the glass of champagne! I came home later, and got changed into my usual trackies and instantly felt lighter and better for not swaying with the temptations. There were some yummy looking chocolate bikkies, cakes, sausage rolls, quiches, extra fruit (I'd already had my quota), wine, champagne. That's just what I saw. For the most part, I didn't dare go near the food table!
