Default JennyC's Diary

Hi all

I started my program yesterday my starting weight was 133kg my goal range is 67-70kg. Very excited about the challenges ahead. I have been reading alot on the forum which has been of great inspiration and help.

Feeling pretty good this morning...was hungry yesterday but got through the day, I really think drinking the 2-3 litres helps alot especially in the first couple of days!!

Can't wait for everything to settle down. A few friends who have done cohens said they rarely felt hungry once they got further into the program.

To all the newbies seems as though we are all starting round the same time.. can't wait to keep an eye out for progress reports

Welcome JennyC

Well done for getting through your first day! Those first few can be a little tough while your hormones settle down and you detox, but after that the feel good serotonin kicks in and you feel great!! Especially when you see that fat melting off! Drinking that water really does help with the hunger and getting rid of that fat!!

Keep going strong!

Thanks for the warm welcome... I have almost finished day two and had a
really good day a little hungry but no headaches. Jumped on the scales out of curiosity and had already lost a little will wait till end of week to update, am excited though!!!

Made my husband some meals today to freeze to make things easier for me and resisted all temptation to taste my pasta sauce!!! I didn't realise how much picking at food I did...NOT ANYMORE

Welcome, Jenny. I can relate to that picking at food. The only thing I've really struggled with on the diet is not tasting anything that's not part of my food plan. I've been cooking my husband the same food as I'm having, adding potato, corn, etc. and he gets his own muesli for breakfast. He's loving Cohen's food, wants to keep eating it when I finish.

HEY JC!

WELCOME!! It sounds like you are off to a good start! Checking those scales in the beginning really is encouraging isn't it!? I know that it was seeing the constant decrease in the number that got me hooked at the beginning... I just couldn't believe it was actually happening FOR ME! I found something that actually WORKED! OMG! ... and here I am... virtually finished!

You too will get to this point! Just stay focussed and do your best to not let anything get in your way! Dont let any occasion or event or person stop you from achieving your goals!. Those things will all be there next year! You can do this!

I look forward to hearing more of your story!

Blessya

Thanks everyone for all your encouragement!!! Am at day 7 today and had a great week. Am amazed at how quickly you feel better in yourself, I have had more energy through the day and feel less puffy if that makes sense!!!!

Have weighed myself this morn and a whopping 6.1kg has dissappeared this is and was unbeleivable had to check a few times just to make sure my scales weren't playing up!!! I know that your first week can be a bigger number and definately don't expect that to continue but am super excited about this program.

In the past I have generally been really bad at sticky to any kind of diet etc... my sister recently lost over 20kgs on Tony Ferguson, I tried it and fell off the wagon very early. I have realised that in some of those other weight loss programs that there are not enough restrictions!!!! I like being told exactly what to do and that is Cohens. No room to think about deviating. I LOVE IT!!!!

Hope you are all well JennyC

That's a great loss for the first week, Jenny. That's as much as some manage in the first month and it's almost 10% of the total you have to go. Well done.

CONGRATULATIONS on your losses and finishing your first week! Thats a fantastic loss! It really does set you in the right frame of mind doesnt it....

Just remember that the losses are not likely to be as big in the following weeks... but you are still losing.. and you may have weeks where you lose nothing but thats probably because your body/skin is trying to play catch up! So you will be shrinking instead!

Cohens really is for you if you are someone that just loves structure and "being told what to do"! I too love this clear, black and white approach! It just makes total sense to me. It helps me cope in the day to day stuff knowing that this is something that I am in complete control of!

Anyway... Congrats again!

Blessya

WOW Jenny! What an incredible result! CONGRATS! Now, if THAT isn't motivation - I don't know what is! As AJ says you've just knocked 10% of your journey on the head in the very first week! I'm SO excited for you! Happy travelling - looking forward to seeing your great Cohen's adventure unfold. BFG.

Oooh, Jenny, forgot to add - one of the very best tips I got on this forum (from Faithy) around accidentally tasting or picking at food is to chew on a piece of chewing gum while you're cooking... that way you really think twice (or are at least conscious) of what you put into your mouth... less likely to sample the sauces, etc. I keep a pack of gum in my kitchen - it's really helped me

What a great weight loss in ur first wek Jenny, Well done.
I totally agree with ur coment on choices. Most of us overweight people know about what we should and should not eat, I know the calorie, fat carb content of just about every food known to man kind, but its that choice of yoghurt & fruit with your oats, or baked beans on toast, full fat, low fat, wholegrain , wholemeal, banana, strawberries etc,etc that does ur head in. You can have this, this and this, suits me fine, while Im at home and in control anyway !!!Need to be more organised when you go out but hay, it works.
You go girl, ur doing great.

The losses at the beginning of this diet are enough to keep you on the straight and narrow, Jenny. The weight just falls away. It certainly helps with the motivation.

Default Week 2

Hi all,

Week 2 has been really busy...have been 110% and have had another great loss this week 3.1kg Didn't think it would be that big after last weeks loss so very stoked at the moment!!!

A little about me.....I am a 30yr old super busy self employed hairdresser. Hence why I don't know where the weeks go!!! I have decided that is a good thing on cohens as it will seem like no time to get to goal!!!

I was married last year and would love to start a family. I want to be healthy and happy about myself before we try. My husband has never known the slim & healthy Jenny and come to think about neither do I. I was probably last at my goal weight in high school. This is going to be a journey for the both of us.

All of you are of great inspiration and I love reading your diaries. I hope I can inspire others as you all are doing for me.

Had a funny incidence in the salon yesterday....we have spoken of cohens alot at work as my business partner lost 20kg on the program a little while back. So we had two clients in at the same time on cohens and myself it was our own little forum.. Both of them hadn't had a look at the forum yet so I was raving about getting on so I hope this helps them as much as it helps me!!!

Have a great week...heres to another good loss!!

Hi JennyC,

Wow - you sound like another "success story" in the making !! What a fabulous 2nd week loss too. It won't continue at those rates (for most) but you are already aware of that, still, it's put you well on the road eh?

Keep on with those "feel good" vibes and this journey of yours will be such a joy for you !!! Three weeks in, with everything aligned, and you will be CRUISING !! If you think you are already, that's great !! But I hear it gets even better once you near that 3 week mark.... Let's see eh?

Koh

Great loss, Jenny.

More forum members I have trouble getting round them all now.

You're right, the forum is a great help and support when on the diet.
