Default Stage 3 CKD

Hi

Did my blood test for Cohen's and found out that I had stage 3 CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease). Shocked! Never had any kidney problems before.

Has anyone else experienced this? Surprised that I was accepted.

Question Re: Stage 3 CKD

Hi

My GP does not seem to be bothered at all !!! I showed the results to her and she said its not a big deal ......... so I am hoping this diet will correct the problem. I assume Dr. Cohen also saw it and still took me in !

Confused.

Maybe losing the weight is the answer to treating the condition and that is why you were accepted. Just a thought, not from any place of knowledge at all. Good luck and you can only improve your health and well being by losing all that unhealthy weight.

You are lucky you have not had kidney pain....

Agree with mark about water recommendations - water is vital with kidney problems (take this from someone who has had kidney stones twice!).

Thats the reason why I want so desparately to lose that weight. Don't need any more health problems. All of you seem to have lost heaps. Good job. Hopefully I'll get there soon !
