Fashion – When your pants are too loose!

Over the years I have worn larger and smaller sizes of pants and jeans

Pregnancy, and obesity, and weight loss can create huge size changes in short periods of time

When I did Cohen’s #1 back in 2006 I dropped from size 18 to size 8 jeans – my work pants were from the Big is Beautiful department and I wasn’t going to buy ‘on the way down’, so I bought braces from Target to hold my pants up as I became the Incredible Shrinking Woman

So what do you do when your pants are too loose but you aren’t quite into the lesser size as yet?

The Hip Hugger is simply an adjustable length of strong elastic with a ‘garter clip’ at each end. You pass it through the back belt loops of your jeans and clip it to the side belt loops, and adjust as necessary for a firm fit.

Hey, presto! Your pants are tensioned across the back, with the front of the garment flat – no bulges and no need for a belt and buckle, and you can get a few more weeks wear out of your larger sized pants, trousers or jeans.

I still have the braces and will still wear them occasionally – not all pants have belt loops – but the Hip Hugger means that I can get through a day without hitching up the pants all the time and without undoing and redoing the braces.

Fit the Hip Hugger to the pants once and you shouldn’t have to adjust it until you have lost some more weight

Hope this is a Helpful Hint to keep us looking neat while we are between sizes, or wanting to wear something which (for all the right reasons!) no longer fits us as snugly as before.

Actually I don't wear pants but instead I wear different skirts and dresses. I wear skater skirts, maxi skirts and denims skirts. I love to be a lady all the time. Wearing skirts or long dress with my ballet shoes or doll shoes is great.
