Does anyone else live in Rockhampton

Hi all since there are alot of people on this site that just look and never submit i was wondering if there is other rockhampton people about it seems that i am the only 1 which seems very hard to believe. would like to catch up with some others. regards Jacin

Sorry you don't have a mate in Rockhampton Jacin.. Surely there is one nearby though.. With all the floods you are having one might float on by.. Hope you are ok and not affected by them.. It is hard to imagine all that water when we are still in a drought and not allowed to water the gardens.. (except with drippers once a week)..

hi thanks for that i had a good laugh. Rocky is the only place in australia that doesnt and hasnt had any water restrictions ever. gee where do you live? our catchment area is the second largest in australia, they are expecting a bit of a flood some where between friday and monday this week a tide of 7 metres. we dont live near the river thank heavens. jacin

I live in Adelaide Jacin.. at the end of the dying River Murray.... I hope it all goes well for you when the river rises and it doesn't wreak havoc for anyone.. Hopefully some of it will dribble into our River eventually and not out to sea..... Take Care..

Hi Hexi, i spoke to Sue my consultant about this the other day when she rang and said that there are other people in rocky that are on cohens but they are all older ladies and not on the net, so it does make it hard i am the youngest person in rocky on it. thanks for the thought though. Jacin

May still be worth meeting over coffee - old chicks are wise ya know and I would imagine as Cohen's gets bigger more and more people will join. Even a monthly get together for the extra support? Do you have any overweight buddies (I am sure you do) once they see you getting results one may join (well in my case lots are joining now!!) even my family and friends interstate. I am lucky to have 2 friends here who have started and some work mates too - as well as Penny (who is on the forum) sure makes a big difference - someone to 'obsess' with

Then of course there is the forum - as you can probably tell I am addicted to this as well! Much better than a food addiction I figure

By the way I noticed you haven't set up a ticker or a diary? Just a thought... maybe a good idea for extra support and motivation

Hexi , yes the old gals do tend to know alot just ask them how to make the most mouth watering cake and they can tell you. Im not sure if sue would hand out peoples details and i think they probably use snail mail for them.

As for a journal what i put on here doesnt really phase me but im sorry i wont do a public journal of my personal life. dont take this the wrong way what i mean is that alot of stuff usually bad has happened to me and if it is on here everyone and anyone can read it and it is on here forever. i understand that alot of my baggage has caused my weight issues but honestly i dont really ever let any one know whats going on inside as the inner termoil is my burden to bare and i really dont want everyone on here to feel sorry for me and think Oh you poor girl. maybe im not being honest with myself but that is ok i will get threw it.

Whatever you feel comfortable with but you could just use the diary for a weight info rather than a personal life story? Just to chart your weight, maybe what you are eating and what you are finding positive about the program and the challenges.

Yeh it would be worth checking if your consultant sends out a Newsletter and I guess she would be sending them to people not on email through snail mail, nah they wouldn't give you personal details

hello how are you, thank you for your reply. Gladdy is a little bit far away especially with fuel being as dear as it is and also trying to keep my 19 month old entertained for that long a trip makes it really hard to consentrate on driving. i know that CMM who lives in yeppoon but works in Gladstone a few days a week ( now thats one heck of a commute to work and back ) maybe you might like to catch up with her. i would like for us all to meet up do you come up to rocky often, and i havent had a chance to catch up with Peta yet.
