Talking New to forum - second time on Cohens!

Hello all!

It is so lovely to have found all of you - I used to review the weight-loss forum and never knew this was here!

I originally began Cohens in January 07 (the 27th to be precise) and went from 88kg to 75kg's which was great - i had to stop the program however as I became pregnant!

Yes my little boy is a Cohens baby - why do i say that? I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 14 and told I would never naturally conceive - i tried and tried in a previous relationship to no avail and gave up on having kids (I never wanted IVF).

So I enrolled myself as a mature age (then 27 now 28, soon to be 29 - in 3days) student in a degree and thought nothing more of it - until low and behold I became pregnant in April!

Unfortunately though I had no idea on what I should and shouldn't eat, also ate a lot of calorie rich food, and ended up being 104kg at birth - I managed to get myself to 89.5kg and then went back up to 97kg at my sons 9mnth mark - not good.............

So here I am - back on Cohens and very excited about it! It will be a little different for me as I never received my re-feed, and I cannot afford to do the program again from scratch............ but after my first 10 days on my old program I have already lost 5.1kgs , as I am not with the clinic I am being naughty and weighing myself regularly - but it is keeping me motivated!

I contact the clinic and they advised that if the old program is working for me - great! but that I have to be extra careful with what I eat after I reach my goal weight!

So that is my story ! I look forward to finding out about you all and am so very excited to be thinking that soon I will be the same weight I was when I was 19! And looking very very hot!

Default Welcome

Welcome to the forum Alillya

Congratulations on your baby boy - I bet he was worth the wait

I am on my second round of Cohens too, using my old program and I am really happy with how I am going so far. I couldn't afford to start from scratch either, and also won't be able to get a refeed because I didn't complete it the first time. I will just have to follow any advice I can get at that stage!! lol

Anyway - here's wishing you great success and I look forward to reading about your journey!

Tam
xx

PS - it's a good idea to start a diary on here, you really get alot of support from everyone

Hi Stef,

The first 4-5 days I was VERY hungry! no doubt about it! But i space my food out as follows:-

Breakfast - fruit and yoghurt

Snack (after 2.5hrs) - crispbread

Lunch (after 2.5hrs) - tuna salad with mayo

Snack (after 2.5hrs) - crispbread and fruit (to get me over the afternoon slump)

dinner (after 2.5hrs) - chicken stir fry (eg)

I found that eating every 2.5hrs on the clock made the world of difference!

Hi stef - we are allowed 1 teaspoon of fat free mayo per day - but check your program to make sure it is included! Ok You are on - first to the finish line!
