Talking New guy in Singapore

Hi,

Just to say hello, and what a great site.

I've been in Singapore just over a year and this place is a paradise of food! 10kg+ gained in the last year I finally quit smoking a few months back after 20 years of 60-a-day, which probably contributed. Quitting was my priority and at the time I said I don't care how fat I get I must be a non-smoker first and foremost.

Anyone who lives in Singapore will know that colleagues, shopkeepers, taxi drivers and random small children in the street will quite happily volunteer a comment about your weight, unprompted "wah why belly so big lah?" "ah getting prosperous liao?"

Cohen's was introduced to me by SMS after I heard his story on another site. After some research and eight months of dithering I finally asked him for the details

I went for my blood test last Tuesday and waiting for my program...how long does it usually take?

I'm in my mid-30s, 178cm and topping 100kg. My ideal would be 70-75kg but we'll see what Dr Cohen comes back with.

I am heading back to the UK for a visit in May/June, so a thin New Me and non-smoking me will be a surprise (I hope) for the friends and family back there.

Welcome aboard the wildest ride you've ever been on!

You should hopefully have it with a week to 10 days but that's only if Innira gets it out to them in time before Dr. Cohen takes his Christmas break for two weeks or so. So you finally bit the bullet! Good on ya!

Have a good read through here, although I'm sure you already have! And if you have any questions be sure to throw them out here! Also, make good use of the Search facility as it work pretty good and there is a wealth of knowledge on here now.
