Excess Skin
I'm just wondering if anyone had any problems with excess skin. With 40kgs to lose and only being 163cms, I'm worried about this. We not so much worried just curious. I'm 40 years old, but genetically have good olive skin (thanks mum & dad!!). I was perving on my self naked in the mirror today, not something I've dared do before, and I was wondering where it will all go.. and how flabby and floppy my skin might be. I'm in for a booby job thats for sure.. but wondering about the tum. Would love to hear from anyone that would bee kind enough to share this somewhat intimate detail with me. (and the entire forum!) Thanks!!!

Re: Excess Skin
Mich everyone is different. it will depend on the elasticity of your own skin, your age, how much weight you lose etc. Something that I have read is that if you lose a lot of weight you may meed to give yourself up to 2 years for everything to settle.
I have heard comments from plastic surgeons that exercise does help, but probably best to wait until you have lost your weight for that. I read a comment recently by a personal trainer that anyone who can get their body fat to 10% will not have an excess skin problem. |

Re: Excess Skin
Something I have been wondering about too I must admit. Having had 2 kids, both by c-section, I can't say the tummy is in good shape, and I suspect that once I have lost the weight I may still have a problem. Off to read the thread Koh linked to...
