Feelin Better & Seein Results
Well it has been 2 weeks and 2 days since I started Cohen's and after my god awful beginning things have really picked up!! I did what the clinic said & had an extra piece of fruit & 2 crackers for a few days but didn't need to keep doing it for ten days as they said I could as I felt much better sooner... To date I have lost 4.5kg...Quite astounded actually. When I read the emails of people getting up and losing another 500g daily or every second day I wasn't sure that could happen, but it does!!! It has never happened to me before, I could lose less than that in one week at Weight Watchers and think it was a good week.... But this happens to me now, the fat seems to be melting away, what is the reason for this??? Have days where I get a bit bored with the food , but I am slowly getting a few regular recipes up my sleeve...Love the stewed apples and have learned to poach eggs. Still off some of the food I ate when I was really sick but that is to be expected.. I really think when I look back my detox was bad because I was a coffee addict and I also did eat a lot of carbs and sugars but didn't realise I was as they were hidden in things like sauces, dressings and things like beetroot , pickles etc etc I ate healthy but put these things on the healthy food. I now find I don't like extra chewing gum, coffee, tea, diet soft drinks etc as the taste is too intense and I seem to get a headache, too many additives I think. I am taking it as a positive as it really seems my body doesn't want these things. I am really focused and doing things like cleaning out pantries, toy cupboards etc etc All the things I previously wanted to do but had no energy or get up and go to do them..I do have bad times though when I just want to eat something major and something different not on the list but I just keep sloggin away and have a cracker!!!! Oh well just wanted to get this out there as I had a whingie post first so thought I better update you with some of the good stuff. I can tell it is going to hapen I just have to keep at it.. I tend to get to this point and want to reward myself, self sabotage I think, but I think I will just go and get the new Chanel sunnies I want rather and the cheaper ones I don't really want. What do you all think get the good ones??? Maybe that will break the cycle of me thinking I don't deserve it especially the overweght girl or leaving it till I do lose weight. I am losing weight so I should get it now (plus the health society will pay half) !! Chat soon, look forward to your replies.. Cheers Bstrong

Hi Bstrong,
Sunnies hey, only buy the good ones if there is no chance of you loosing them. Sticking with the program is the only way to go and especially because you had such a bad experience first up. Detox happens every time you deviate as your body has to cleanse itself of the new toxins you have put in before it can go to work on the fat that has been there for a while. Having said that you are going great guns why would you want to stop now. Food is an evil necessity and good food will get you to where you want to be otherwise you would not have signed up.. Keep going and soon you will not be looking for what you can't have but enjoying experimenting with what you can. All the best and keep us posted. Melissa

Thanks Melissa for that. I had to eat out (non cohen's food) last Wednesday night for a friend's farewell. I had warm prawn salad, but the salad had dressing. I tried to find the healthiest thing on the menu. This week I've been getting headaches and just feel kind of off. Now I realise that it's my body detoxing all Wednesday's meal. The scales haven't moved either for over a week. Amazing what 1 deviation can do to the body. Bummer!
