*bump*

for the newbies and daily weighers. If you're a daily weigher I suggest tracking it in this, it's fantastic, with a pretty graph and everything.

thanks for this Baloo, i look forward to tracking my weekly weigh-in in this

cheers

SMS took the spreadsheet and made it better. You can download from his daily charts HERE.

Which spreadsheet are you using? Baloo's or Mine?

In either case, you would handle it basically the same way.

1. To add more months, at least on mine, you will first have to unprotect the workbook & the last month. Then go to "Edit", "Move or Copy Sheet....." and tick "make copy" and select "(move to end)". This will give you another sheet at the end with a Tab Labeled "Jun 08 (2)". Change the tab to "Jul 08".

2. Next you need to change the starting date formula for the first day of the month (cell A3) from {='May 08'!A33+1} to {='Jun 08'!A32+1} to automatically pick up the next day and to change the pick up day from the previous month as it will change from 29, 30 or 31 days. This will also automatically change the Month Heading at the top of the page as well.

3. To change the opening formula for the amount of daily weight change

{ =IF(ISBLANK(B3),"",IF(B3-'May 08'!B30=0,"0.0 kg",B3-'May 08'!B30)) }

to { =IF(ISBLANK(B3),"",IF(B3-'Jun 08'!B32=0,"0.0 kg",B3-'Jun 08'!B32)) }

This way it will pick up the proper previous weight from the previous month to compute the change.

4. On the right side you will need to change the formula for the "Total Weight Loss" field (L5)

In this example it would change the formula from { =IF(L2="",'May 08'!L5,L2+'May 08'!L5) }

to { =IF(L2="",'Jun 08'!L5,L2+'Jun 08'!L5) }

5. You will also have to change the final number in the formula for Average Daily Loss as well to 29,30 or 31 for the number of days in the month.

Each additional page you add you will have to change the formulas accordingly to pick up from the previous month.

I have modified the source file and uploaded it again, this one contains a full year.

Be sure to read the "Notes".

NB: Baloo's spreadsheet has much simpler formulas so his may be easier to use and modify but the principles are the same.

Click the link and save the file to your Computer. I hope it is useful to you. I find the visual record in nice colours very uplifting. Especially the charting functions!

I have been after something like this to start me off - so thank you very much, much happier to use something already created. You have done a great job all of you. This is the first day of cohen and it will be my last day of being at this weight EVER again.

Good to see it's still being used.

sundaymorningstaple has an updated one linked to his diary that you might want to try. Not sure what he's changed but I'm sure it's now new and improved from my feeble attempt at excelling.

Time4Me, no need for cash. Just pass it on to anyone that wants it.

Baloo, Mine has started to become like it's parent (Excel) "Bloatware" I seem to just keep playing with it but the core is still okay. They can also download directly from the link about 5 messages up from this post. No need to click on my signature link and then click on the link contained therein as I have put a direct download link in the message itself.

Edited 2/12/08

You can download it with this link: Weightloss Record
