Default Snugglebear's Refeed Diary

Greetings all

What a hoot?? 2 people here before I even get here. Thanks Asy!!!!

Day1 Refeed
Start weight 64.6kg

Ok, today just added extra old protein, extra old veges and................a new good fruit. Yes, I went the usual.....pineapple. It was one of the new hybrid ones, sweet but left a strange tingling fuzzy in my mouth. A very nice change to my afternoon tea routine. I just added the extra stuff (except the pineapple) to my dinner. Simple and easy, Day 1 - done.

Day 2 Refeed

Down 200grms - 64.4kg ( must add that this is the lowest my weight has been in ............18 years. I did hit 65kg briefly in 1999).

So today was adding the same extra amounts of old protein and old veg, plus the good fruit as yesterday plus...........a slice of bread.

It was so funny just trying to figure out what to do with 1 slice of bread. Normally I have veges all cut up and ready to go, but I ran out of that yesterday (it's all in the fridge waiting for the knife) so I just had a mountain of lettuce with some chicken I cooked yesterday. So it was a weird one slice bent chicken and lettuce sandwich. I must say though that bread..........I am over it. Seriously I could live without it. I am planning a nice little stirfry (with the pineapple in it) for dinner. I am not really adding all that much extra food but trying to time it and space it out so that I am not trying to eat the all the extras at dinnertime might take me a day or 2. Habits .

Ok, so I was reading ahead on Day 17 when I can actually have a biscuit, yeah I know, its 2 weeks away.....I couldn't decide what I wanted so.......I bought 3 packets of different things, things I had never eaten before, so that I get something totally new when the time comes. A girl can dream................

This morning I ran into the friend of mine that put me onto Cohen's. Her eyes just about popped out of her head, she told me how great I looked. She looked pretty darned fabulous herself. She would have finished about 8 months ago and while she says she has gained 2kg she looks truly awesome. Flat stomach, healthy glow to her face and she looks so happy.............gotta love Cohen's. If she can keep it off, so can I. And she was out having brunch with her family, in public, off a menu..............heaven!!

Take care all

Jo

Hey Jo,

Well, aren't you the lucky duck? What better inspiration than this:-

Hey, Jo - for now, just enjoy refeed - you've EARNED it !! And your friend would've walked the same walk - so guess where you'll be in less than a month (and in 8 months ) Make it so, Jo - you know you can,

Hugs,

Koh

GRATZ Jo!!!! Though a little sad that you've left us in the normal diary section, but certainly happy for you to have come down to refeed and amazingly losing further weight despite the additional food intake! GRATZ gal...I'm now eagerly reading up some refeed diaries and psyche myself up that I must be here in no time! Good job Jo...!!!!!

Hi hon....
Excuse me, I'm a bit choked up....
So proud of you!!!!

Over bread? Really? I can only hope that I too am over my nemesis by the time I get to Refeed.
Love that you've planned ahead for your bickies. May I ask what is on the bickie buffet at Chez Snugglebear?

Yay for Jo!! Welcome to refeed!!!

So so proud of you and so so so happy for you!
Like you, I'm not fussed about bread, although now that I'm on maintenance, I do love having some garlic bread once in a while!
Of course you can keep it off! You're the awesome!

Greetings

Day 3 Refeed

Up 300gms - 64.7kg

Well there's the bread, right there, one slice of bread = 300gms. Well....OK....maybe it isn't but fluid retention is one of the things bread can do to you. Since I wasn't fussed with the bread yesterday I think I will give it a miss today and go back to my beloved crackers

I get extra old protein again today. I am planning on splitting it between lunch and dinner cos it will simply be too much all at once. Simple!!

The stirfry last night (with the pineapple) was yum........but abit of soy sauce would have made it better, oh well , maybe next time. So I finish my dinner and realise that I had only had 2 pieces of fruit, one old, one good. Grrrrrrrrr too late to catch up with it now. I will have a plum with my lunch today though, they look so yum.

Mette - Garlic bread would probably tempt me, it smells sooooo good. But a boring slice of white.........nope.

Yeti - I bought some Teddy Bears, some Rice Cookies (not rice crackers, these are the glutenfree proper bicky ones) and some Highland Oatmeal. I know it is totally OTT but..........let's face it, the boys will probably eat them all before I even get to Day 17 . I have asked that at least one Teddy is saved for me.

Off to read diaries
Kisses

Jo

Greetings

Day 4 refeed

down 200grms - 64.5kg

And there goes the bread!!

Today added more old veg. That's cool, bring on the extra veg. I was packing my lunch for work today and had to get a bigger container for me lunch because of the extra veg.

Day 5 refeed

Weight stable at 64.5kg

Today I am adding an extra good fruit. In fact, I just ate it, a plum, yum yum. Ok so I am running a little bit late for morning tea and a little early for lunch, oooooops. I have been too busy shopping and chatting to even think about eating. I just bought.............7 new tops. Ok, like most things I do its a little OTT but almost everything was on special that is my story and I am sticking to it . Come on people 7 tops, some of them t's, most long sleeve skivvy, t-shirty things for just over $100. Perfect for wearing with scarves and jackets!! Mr Rudd would be so proud of me . Oooops forgot to add I bought 2 hoodies too, only one was for me though, the other for the boy child. I also had to buy him a new jacket for school $69!!!!!!!!!!!! They didn't have any second hand ones so I had to get a new one, I will be washing his old one and taking it back to the uniform shop to resell.

Tomorrow's refeed remains the same as todays so I don't know if I will update tomorrow but since no-one is reading this anyway it doesn't really matter .

Cheers

Jo

You will singlehandedly get Australia out of the financial crisis, pretty lady!

Seriously though, you don't do enough for yourself, so you deserved it!
Going great guns! Keep up the great work, but do remember to slow down once in a while! I'm out of breath trying to keep up, and I'm only reading about it!

Greetings all

Before I get to the business I just have to say............I've just been shopping again!!!!!!! New PJ's(2),some leggings (2), some thermals because..............I just booked that holiday in NZ ........HOORAY~!!!!!!!!!!!! We (mostly my travel agent) have organised everything, chocolate factory tours, hot-air balloon flights, train trips, steam ship cruises, even a brewery tour with dinner. Should be much fun! OK its not until September but that's only 4 months away.

Day 6 refeed

up 100grms - 64.6kg

Yesterday was dull dull dull. Same as Day 6, I did make some little curried chicken meat balls and I have taken to grilling my pineapple but.....nothing awfully exciting. I am enjoying the plums . I have bought some frozen blueberries but haven't brought them out yet, I have been too busy just getting everyone out the door in the mornings. But I have spoken to Vee and we have a plan for them.

Day 7 refeed

Status Quo 64.6kg (guessing my body has chosen it's weight)

Today I get extra old protein and..........a 2nd slice of bread. This is where I must add that I have chosen to only eat 1 slice of bread so far in refeed. But today, with 2 slices, I am thinking of having a play. I still have some chicken mince left over from yesterdays balls so......... I am thinking of getting the chicken, some cooked down tomatos, some onion and garlic (and whatever else jumps out at me) and making a nice sort of tasty mince mix. Then I will make myself a jaffle/toasted sandwich with it. It could be great or....it could be a disaster. Fingers crossed. Sounds like a nice warming lunch!

Ok so....there are some people out there who have finished Cohen's so I guess I am asking them this question. Has anyone else had the completely stable weight while on refeed. Other people seem to vary weight daily (probably hourly ) while I am very stable (in weight, not much else). I don't want to lose any more weight, I am perfectly happy where I am but I am wondering whether staying stable is a good sign (that my body is coping with whatever changes I chuck at it) or a bad sign (that the body hasn't dropped into the "famine finished let's burn more" mode. Just wondering...............

I am feeling loved again (thanks), I was just having a weird day the other day, funnin' with yus. I pretty much never update on Thursday because between working all day and visitors for dinner I just don't have the time. When the visitors go I collapse and go to sleep. Yes, I do so love PJ's.

Marc - You will be refeeding in weeks, good on ya fella.

Rach - You will catch the next end of season sales, gotta luv 'em. I used to so hate shopping but now........I think I am getting the hang of it.

Vee - I always feel better after talking to you, thanks. My brain is still digesting that protein issue of mine. I did finally buy that diary today though.

Yeti - Sorry honey, didn't mean to panic you, I'm not going anywhere. I have to see your final after photos and that beautiful smile of yours, not to mention your skinny little butt. So I won't be going anywhere until after you finish.

Mette - I am taking the GFC very seriously, just doing the little I can to help out LOL. Guess I should be holidaying in Australia but......well........Alex wants snow, NZ has very nice snow Tee hee hee. Besides last time we where there Alex was 3, he doesn't remember anything so..........but we are only doing the South Island this time.

Wish me luck with lunch..............

Kisses aplenty

Jo

Your holiday is going to be great, South Island Sav is my favourite wine that is one thing I will miss the most.
Great job and keep it up, not long now.

Greetings

Day 8 refeed

Yep 64.6kg again

I did make that jaffle yesterday, nowhere near as nice as I was hoping but I did eat it, and that's 2 slices of bread. Didn't make a scrap of difference weight wise, interesting hey??

I can mix proteins today, ummmmmmmmm now what can I mix?? I can forsee some sort of mozz and chicken thing happening, stay tuned...........

Today I add more veg and.........and bad fruit. The only bad fruit I have in the house is a sad looking banana so I may have to go out to the shops. We are going out anyway to have a look at a new mobile phone for me, for Mother's Day, its PINK. I get that most of you guys would already have a decent mobile, I did until recently but this baby is a touch screen one with lots of bells and whistles woooohooo. Just doing my bit for the economy

Jacq - You will get the wine back eventually, refeed will start to bring it back. I can't drink it, food allergies to the preservatives, instant migraines, but I am an excellent chauffeur to the hubby when we go to wineries. He does enjoy a tipple.

I am NOT enjoying refeed, its a pain. I can have more stuff but not necessarily the stuff I need to make what I want to eat grrrrrrrrrrr I know, be patient. Ask anyone, it is not my strong suit. In fact I was getting very frustrated yesterday trying to figure out meals for today, there is alot of food to fit in, allowing for time rules etc etc. Hubby just doesn't see the problems, he thinks I am just being dramatic. It seems so simple from the outside grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I guess I will just be eating some weird combinations for the next 10 days. I get new proteins in a couple of days and that is going to add to my stress levels. I need to sit down and write exactly what I need to eat and when, then I can stop thinking about it.

OK enough of my refeed rant, time to go shopping!!!!!!!!!!

Kisses

J

Hi Jo,

Hey, it just struck me - your patience must be pretty happy to be getting a REWARD ...... TODAY !!
Quote:

If I remember correctly, as of today (MIXING proteins), the "time rules" are now out the window, aren't they? (Hope I'm right )

So, enjoy yet another new-found freedom, Jo !! Eat when you like.... And give your patience a BIG bunch of roses for having been SO good over the last months. Not long to go now, Jo, you little champ ....

Hugs,

Koh

I think it's pretty cool that you can eat a toasted sandwich and not have a weight increase because of the bread...mmmmmmm....drooling......really hungry at the moment.....I do love a hot jaffle.

NZ sounds great - I've never been, even though I have family there. MY dad wanted to take me years ago, but I told him I couldn't think of anything worse than NZ. It is one of the regrets of my life, now that I'm mature enough to appreciate the beauty of that country and the fact that my dad is no longer around to do cool things with.

So very excited to hear that you're going to see this thing through with me Jo Jo!!! Love ya madly.
