Default Not finishing a portion

I have always been vegeterian but about 11 years ago I decided to eat chicken (don't eat fish and other meats) and I like it so I used to occassionally eat it. Since on the diet I feel sick if I eat chicken twice a day and I also feel too full half way through my meal. If I don't finish my portion will still lose weight? How do I replace chicken? Also how many times a week should I have cheese? Don't want to eat it everyday to replace chicken.

It is really really important to eat your whole portion of protein and vegetables. Bear in mind that Dr C has worked out exact portion sizes for your body chemistry (and everyone's truly is different) so if you don't eat it you aren't doing the program. You risk making yourself very sick and/or sending your body into starvation mode where it will hold onto fat to store because it thinks no food is coming - so not only may you not lose weight, you could put it on! So, you must eat all your food.

With cheese, it is recommended to eat it only 3 times per week as some people find it slows down weight loss or causes fluid retention. if you eat it more often than that, I'd make sure that I had different types of cheese (so not mozzarella every time).

Did you ask for tofu on your plan? That would be a better option.

Otherwise, have you tried having your chicken a different way? For instance you could make a chicken and vegetable soup and zap it in the blender so it is really creamy and you won't have the texture of chicken.

when you started the program you would have advised them of your desire to have beancurd as part of your program
otherwise- i presume you have chicken, fish and cheese . and of course the veggies
have a look at the recipes section
if you like stirfry, mix tour chicken if very small pieces into the stirfry
you should find that if you cook your chicken as small as possible ( pieces) this will make it easier

Thanks. I only had cheese on day 1 and I think yesterday I was a little stressed and didnt feel like eating my chicken. I will try the soup Jlou, does sound yummy and I will also try a stirfry with smaller pieces (never thought of that).

while i think off it, make sure you dont cook the chook too long- should be a bit pink when you recombine with stirfry- dry chicken will make you gag

There are heaps of things you can do with chicken to change the taste, texture and appearene of chicken. Try chicken stuffed with vegetables, chicken burger pattie (minced chicken breast), sti-fry or use apricots with sprite zero to make a type of apricot chicken. I personally like chicken soup and vege's.

Also with the cheese be imaginitive. Try the cheese different ways - Ie melted, grated & sliced. Sometimes its just the change in recipe that can make a world of difference. At the moment I am having tomatoe, onion, mushrooms, and cheese under the grill on salada's.

Dare to be different
