Default Hello Philippine Cohenites

I've attended the info session last Saturday...but not before enrolling and getting the blood test done. Actually, I was that determined to join the program.

I have been in constant struggle with my weight. I have enrolled in a gym, tried diet pills, tried dieting but I cannot seem to take the excess weight off.

I am tired of never seeing the weighing scale go down, tired of seeing XXL tags on my clothes, tired of being tired just going around the mall, tired of having lower back pains, tired of looking at my overweight body. Tired of the thought that I may never be able to wear a decent swimsuit, tired of thinking I may grow old and die like this. I am just plain tired of it all.

While I do have doubts on whether I can commit to this program and see this through...reading the success stories in this forum and the support the members give each other... I may have a fighting chance.

So, please, I really, really need your support on this undertaking...I feel like its the end of the line for me. If this will not work, then nothing ever will.

I'm now waiting for my blood test results and hopefully I will be given my feeding program.

Welcome Crisj.

Scary stuff when we begin and I think we all have some apprehension when we first join up to Cohen's, but I can tell you at least that it's worth it's weight in gold this program. It gives you results and rewards far beyond any other diet program I've ever tried, and there are lots of us round here that have tried pretty much all of them at some point in our lives.

This program kind of needs an all or nothing approach, there isn't really any way of doing it with maximum success unless you go hard and do it totally and utterly 100%. Many go on and off with plenty of starts and stops and deviations along the way, but it just makes the journey more difficult and greatly protracted. My approach was to get in and out as fast as humanly possible. I've had plenty of slow times but I decided that i'd give it my whole and utter soul (well perhaps that's a bit dramatic, but hopefully you get the idea!!!) I start refeed this saturday (with a bit of luck!!!!)

Good luck with it and your weight loss journey.

Hi Crisj, welcome to the forum! I'm frm Philippines too & am now starting my Day 1 on Refeeding stage. I've lost total of 97 lbs & have 3 lbs more to reach my Lower goal weight of 100 lbs, required frm Dr. Cohen for me but as the signs already speak to me, i can't wait long enough to reach lower goal weight to be able to start my RF.

You too, will be on your road to success & believe me, you'll get there in no time, if you put all your heart & will to following your EP (Eating Program & all instructions frm Dr.Cohen), you'll be amazed at your results! Mine is a 9-month journey to having trimmed down now to 103 lbs from being a 200-pounder person & not to mention all the wonderful feelings, great healthy weight restored, feeling so much lighter & most of all, having to gain back the "self confidence" on the New You after your program, is so much all WORTH the sacrifices. Goodluck & Congrats on your new journey to a slimmer & healthier You!

Hi. diana... good for you... I still have to come to the center and get my plan on Nov. 3. I can't wait... although I have apprehensions myself. I suggest you read through the posts here and start your diary... maybe we can be buddies here in the forum and be the happiest losers there are. Good luck.

Hi, Valerie.. I guess all us newbies have our apprehensions.. mostly doubts as to whether we can commit to it or not...but there will always come a time when one gets tired of being overweight. I know I am.

So tomorrow I'm going back to the clinic to get my plan.... this is one of those moments when you're excited and scared at the same time... and I really need all the kadamay I can have in this undertaking...

can't wait to start on my diary...

as I have said before... let's get our sexy back!!!

Hi, I started on my eating plan yesterday... it would be great if I can have a "project" buddy within the area... Anyone willing to share their journey with me? Anyone?

Hi everyone. I started my eating plan last October 15. Lost 7 lbs in the first week but HATED the recipes the center gave with the plan. I'm not a curry lover and it seemed all the recipes had curry! That's when I started cheating BIG TIME. I lost only 3lbs from the 2nd to the 6th week. Then I found this forum online and the recipes posted by the members here renewed my resolve. I'm only in my 8th week and have lost another 8lbs so I am only 5lbs away from my upper goal weight. It may seem like a small amount of weight to lose but I've tried almost every diet out there and this is the first time I've been this weight in 5 years. The recipes here in this website really helped . Personal favorite is the Ricotta balls. If I didn't find this forum, I think I would've given up. Good luck to all those just starting out.

Hi All,

I am so inspired by all that I am reading here in the forum. I have recently enrolled and had my blood test, waiting for my eating plan to arrive. I am very excited but also very nervous. I need to lose about 40 lbs (so about 19kls). May not sound a lot for those who have lost so much, I just wish I would be as successful.

Looking forward to learning from everyone and being inspired by all!

Well hello everyone and welcome to this forum. I never thought I'd see the day when my kababayans would post in here. I was beginning to feel lonely.

Anyway, I was away from this forum for quite a while so seeing your posts was quite a pleasant surprise.

Anne...I would suggest once you get your eating plan try to be deviation free for the first month as this would be the time when the weight loss will be the greatest. I am on my third month now and I am halfway there (well, almost halfway).

Better to plan your meals on a weekly basis and much better if you prepare your meals yourself. Sometimes if someone else would prepare it, they might think they'll be doing you a favor by adding a bit more salt or oil or other things that may make the food more flavorful but are actually defeating the purpose as this will be a deviation from the eating plan.

I know this may sound tedious specially if you're working or busy most of the time but trust me you'll grow into it and eventually will become a habit.

Deviating from the plan is a choice, sometimes you cannot help it due to some circumstance, just read your manual and hand outs regularly so you'll know how to deal with it. Just do not lose your focus on why you're doing this in the first place and of course as Dezzy and Ciors said, it's an awful lot of money to be wasting if you don't go through with it and commit to it.

So, that's all for now. Hope to see you all here regularly.

Hi Cris,

I'm surprised I'm able to understand anything in this forum. But you good people continue to talk English here.

We set up these forums to allow "other languages" - i.e. tagalog in your case. Go check out the South Africa forum - they natter away in Afrikaans.

Feel free to talk tagalog in THIS forum, but English everywhere else please....

Hi Koh... Believe me it's not for lack of trying... We're just more comfortable posting in English, I guess it's just the way we were trained in school...

O, mga katropa as pagpapayat... Tagalog daw...pagbigyan na natin... Mahirap Lang mag-post laging nag-auto correct ng spelling itong IPad ko... TNM (tumatawa ng malakas)....

Ah, no worries then. Stick with what is comfortable.

I hadn't seen anyone writing tagalog, so I wanted to point out that you MAY (in this forum) if you wish.
