Default Reach Goal & Maintain Goal - FOR LIFE

Well here I am again. Last time I had a total loss of 30kg and looked fantastic. As of last Monday I am back on Cohens - a re-offender. So this will be my 2nd time doing this fantastic diet - but that is the wrong word - this will now by my lifestyle change FOREVER. I now weigh 101kg and need to get down to 62kg. Cohens works so well but I failed miserably with maintenance and went overseas to Europe for a 5 week holiday after refeed - not a good idea. So this time when I get to goal I will ensure that I take it slowly and continue with maintenance in the manner it should be - for life. Weigh in at the clinic is tomorrow - 1 week will be down.

Practise makes perfect Mnstr. Sometimes I think the amazing Cohen's lifestyle should give return customers a discount just for persevering lol

Very true Ciors. I do have to admit that when I came to the point where I had decided - enough is enough - time to get myself back on track - the only option was Cohens. I know it works so well for me. This time around I have found that I am losing more for the first week than I did last time. Will update my ticker tomorrow which is my official weigh in day.

Well I popped into the Clinic today plus had appointment at Doctors for BP check. I have lost just over 4kg in the first week - real pleased with that. My blood pressure was the best it had been for months so Doctor was very pleased with that.

First week down. Areas for improvement - chewing gum without thinking purchased a lemon/lime one and on re-reading my eating plan book this is not allowed. Also my consultant suggested I have the zero lemonade occasionally rather than every day as I am. Also she suggested I weigh myself at the most weekly not daily as I am doing.

Looking forward to next Monday. Even though it will not be as good as this week I am hoping for a 1.5kg loss at least.

lol...they all tell us to not weigh daily! I used to weigh morning and night!!! Just don't let the numbers mess with your head and cause you worry and stress.

Great that there's already been positive changes in your health.

Welcome Mnstr!
Well done on your first week! Awesome number!

I live for my can of caffeine free diet coke every evening! It's the time my husband and I used to sit down with a wine or beer. We both drink it now and laugh about it being caffeine free diet drink.. Um isn't that water? Just what are we drinking? Ha ha.

So hard not to weigh every day! Once a month is hard work.

Keep up the good fight!

Back again. Thank you to Ciors and Relles for the words of encouragement - much appreciated.

I am having a good week Cohen wise. Funny my mind set is quite different this second time around. Last time each week for the first 3 months was exciting and I was more enthused about trying different ways with the food allocation and going through the recipes on here and in the recipe book. This time I seem to be keeping it as simple as possible and having a lot of repeat type meals. Also it feels like the same old same old. Saying that I still am determined to see this through and looking forward to the stage of getting heaps of comments from people. I have had one comment so far from someone who did not know I was on Cohens - she said "you look like you have lost weight in your face" - that was good to hear.

I once again have to say that it feels great to be doing a eat plan that has such quick results. Can't wait to Monday when I have my official weigh in. Yep I am still jumping on the scales every day and I am so surprised how the weight fluctuates - but I am on the way to losing over 1kg which is my goal to get between 1-2kg off every week. I do intend as I continue not to weigh each day and try for once a week.

Hi All.

It was weigh in day today. I have lost 1.1 kg which makes a total of 5.5kg over 14 days. I am pleased with that. We were away the weekend just past and had to eat out at an Italian Restaurant. I kept to plan apart from not weighing the steak or salad without dressing.

Roll on next week as I now have a weekly figure of 1.1kg to beat. Crossed fingers that I lose more next week.

Bye for now

Weigh in day today. Have lost total of 8kg over 4 weeks. Not bad. Last time I was just over 9kg for the 4 week mark. Have blood test to do and tomorrow phone appointment with Cohens.

Coping well and still focussed on losing the weight. Clothes are starting to get a wee bit loose so that is great. Trying to not buy any new clothes and sticking with what I have lying around.

Thanks for popping by Ciors.

Hii all

Weigh-in today - lost 1.3kg for week. I am happy with that. Did have one fall from grace during the week when a girlfriend popped in with a bottle of wine wanting to de-stress - so I have one glass out of the bottle. Not good at all but sometimes you just need to. Still keep things simple with the diet because it works for me.

Thanks for the encouragement AZ - much appreciated.

Not many comments as yet from people re losing weight but I am sure it will start as I lose more. My clothes were getting very tight before starting now they are getting loose so looking forward to moving down a size over the next few weeks.

I have to admit I do love this eating plan.

Catch ya all soon.

Hi Mnstr

I just found your diary! You're doing an amazing job and I loved reading through it. Did you get a new plan or are you doing your old one this time around?

I have not had a drop of alcohol since 21st April. Not sure how my body will handle it this Sat night.

Hi all

Thanks for popping in Soon2beslim and AZ. Totally new plan. Very similar but not the same as the old one. I am the sort of person who needs someone to report to and guidance - hence new plan. AZ no alcohol since April - good on you fantastic achievement. Hope your Saturday night went well!!

Well I am now an 80's girl - excellent. I am so pleased with myself.

Nice going Mnstr! Well done on reaching the 80s!

I totally get the need to report to someone. I too tried to get back onto plan for months but kept deviating until I got my new plan and have to have the bloods and report in ... that and the $$ for the new plan are motivators to stick to it, especially in the beginning

You must have gone down a couple of sizes too .. woo hoo!

Hi Louise - yep I was a NZ 18 now at 16. Decided no new clothes until I get to 14 then a cheap pair of jeans. Yep the payment of money is very much a motivator for me as well. Also pleased I didn't leave it any longer as I want to be looking my best for Summer. We have a trip planned for next February over to Australia so that is an incentive as well. So looking forward to it. I am not getting many comments but I don't think it helps that I am still wearing bigger size clothing.

I weighed myself this morning and down about 1.5kg - yeah getting there. So pleased to be below 90kg and I know once I get into the 70's the weight loss will be very noticeable. I think I am wishing the time away which is bad as I don't have enough hours in the day as it is.

Well better get back to do some work.

Catch ya all later.

Karen

Well done on getting below the 90s Karen! You're doing an awesome job!

It's a great feeling to see the next set of numbers down isn't it. In my mind it's as if each set of 10 has a hurdle or hump at the end and when you get over that into the next set of numbers it's a mini journey to reach the next hump. Crazy I know, lol.

I think it takes a while for others to notice the weight loss especially when we still wear our baggy clothes but people also try to be polite. They don't want to comment on our weight loss until it is super obvious, just as they didn't comment as we got fatter and fatter. It's a sensitive topic at the best of times. Personally, the only time I've talked to others about my weight loss is when I'm on Cohens and I know that it is sustainable and I will lose more next week. Even then, it's too easy to be pressured in giving up especially near the end when people try and tell you that you've lost enough now!

Anyway, have a great week and keep up the good work.

Louise

Wow Mnstr, you are doing amazing. You should be super proud with how your progressing. Best of luck for your journey and reaching your goal. I find the forum is also a good way to stay accountable with the weightloss. I admit it is so tempting to weigh yourself every day, I reckon if you can make it a weekly thing you are doing well. Think I might need to get my husband to hide the scales

Hi All

Thank you for popping in Louise and Genibar - great words of encouragement from you both. Well I am still doing well. Losing 1kg or more a week. I am surprised that my focus on food is changing and my love of eating until my tum was overfill is not happening and I am not missing that comfort eating now. If anything I sometimes have to remind myself that it is time to eat Long may this last.

I am not far off my half way mark and I am sure I will get there in the next 3 weeks. Then it is roll on the 70s. Down to size 14 (with a squeeze).

Just a great feeling knowing I am getting there.

Catch ya all later.
